  • We Love Books!

    Funded Dec 11, 2024

My students love books and I like to have a different variety of books to read to my students. I like to read a book in the morning for our reading lesson. I always start my lesson with introducing the parts of a book, the spine, the front cover, the back cover, the author and the illustrator. I then read the book to my students. As I am reading I ask my students questions about what is going on in our story. When they answer I give them a point for listening to our story. Most of my students are enjoying the books they all love looking through our books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carrillo

  • Black History Month Books

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

My students love looking at their books but a lot of them don't have books at home. I wanted to be able to give each of my students a book that they can look at while they are at home. These book are perfect for them to look at while home. I asked them what type of books they would like and they told me what they would want. I can't wait to see their faces when they get their new books. We will also be using the rest of the books during our transition times. They will be keeping a book in their cubby to look at when we transition to different activities.”

    Mrs. Carrillo

  • Must Have Supplies

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

We appreciate everything you have done for our classroom. These supplies will be well used. My students love creating beautiful art activities and we use glue sticks everyday. These supplies will help us get through the first months of school. As we get ready to start the new school year with a brand new set of 20 preschoolers, it gets busy! We are so excited for the students to come in and have the chance to use our new supplies. We are truly thankful to be able to provide my students with these materials. Thank you.”

  • Science Galore

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for providing awesome science toys for my students! My students love using magnetic toys. I am glad we have new magnets to use! My students were very excited to receive so many new interactive toys like magnetic blocks as well as the tubes. My science area was lacking activities and now we have different ones to use. I am hoping that with these new materials my students will be playing in the science area more often. My students really liked the life cycle wheels. They enjoyed looking at them. Thank you.”

  • Dramatic Play Rug

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

My students were very happy to see our new dramatic area rug. They stated that our new rug matches our circle time rug. They stated that it is soft and that they like that it is a rainbow rug. My students also enjoyed our squishy shapes. These help my students stay seated at the carpet. It keeps their hands busy. These squishies are very important for self regulation, especially in the beginning of the school year. I know my students will be able to benefit from all the items provided, thank you once again.”

  • Classroom Garden!

    Funded May 31, 2024

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my project and donating. Most of my students come from low-income families. They were so excited when they saw all our new materials. They loved watching the plants grow. Everyday when they arrived they went straight to the plants to see how much they grew. They were also supper excited to see our big magnetic flower growth cycle. We went through the growth cycle and I had them create a flower with construction paper. They really liked learning about plants and plant parts. Thank you so much for your donations!”

Our district has set up small groups of students who are coming to in class instruction. We are getting ready to have all our students come back to in class instruction. Then we will move to am and pm sessions. These items will help my students be able to work in the classroom while following the health guidelines. I want my preschoolers to feel safe in our classroom. My preschool students are working independently, as well as working in large groups, and we can not share supplies. Covid-19 has greatly affected how our classroom operates, our students are no longer able to share.
