All In One Place!
Funded Sep 21, 2023Thank you for funding this wonderful project! I urgently needed the seat covers to help my students keep their classroom books and supplies in an organized and neat way! Most importantly, my second grade students will be able to find their materials more quickly while transitioning to another object, especially when juggling between English and Spanish book. The red and white seat covers will definitely help my second graders keep track of their Spanish and English workbooks and texts. Thank you!”

Funded Oct 11, 2022Thanks for the much needed basics you donated to my class! My students love their new dry erase boards. They can use either side of he board to solve Math word problems, practice Math fluency and practice grammar skills. The small mirrors came in handy as my second grades created self-portraits and other Art projects. And the the Kleenex facial tissues and disinfectant wipes helped our class during the flu/cold season. Your contributions make a huge difference in our students' lives as they enjoy learning and fun!”

Comfortable While Learning!
Funded Jan 8, 2022I want to thank you for the donation you gave to support my project. Your contribution has helped my students in their everyday learning. Now each student has their own headphones while using their iPad or Chromebook to review mathematical concepts and strengthen their reading skills using learning apps. Also, students have the option to use a Rekenrek tool during Math time. These are excellent visual tools for students who still struggle with their addition and subtraction facts. On the other hand, students are enjoying the colorful cushions. They are comfortable alternative seating options students have while reading in class or using their devices. Thanks again for the impact your contribution has made on my class!”

Funded Aug 14, 2019We use the classroom rug everyday. It is a place in the our classroom where my 2nd graders come together to play, have conversations about new learning, share ideas, read and edit writing pieces. It is our place of meeting for story time and Social Emotional Learning. Also, it is their favorite spot for "Fun Friday!" Students who complete their weekly homework packets are rewarded by coming together to play, build and explore on the colorful and spacious new rug. So far, "Fun Friday" is a great motivator for my second graders to turn in complete homework on Fridays.
On the first day of school, my students were surprised to see a colorful and big rug since my classroom is one of the smallest "bungalow" at our campus. They entered the classroom quietly but with a smile as they looked at each other and the new rug. Usually, our school's bungalow rooms have a plain, small and thin rugs.
The next steps for my students is that they will begin to do collaborative learning on their animal informational reports on the rug for Writer's Workshop. I have noticed that they enjoy working together so why not have them come together on the rug where learning happens!”

Funded Mar 20, 2019The second graders in my class are always so eager to learn about Art and different artists. The artist we focused on this time was Joan Miro. They learned about surrealistic art and his use of primary colors. Students used different lines to create drawings that are just plain fun and in many cases don't make sense just like our night time dreams!
My students were so excited when they first saw the tabletop easels and aprons. Immediately, I was surrounded by little bodies as I opened the packages! They couldn't wait to start using the easels since we had just finished our last class with the art teacher as many of them claimed that Art is their favorite subject.
The next steps for my future students since this school year is soon coming to an end is to continue teaching art in order to give my students the opportunities to fall in love with the subject. I want my students to express their creativity through new skills and concepts. Also, I want my students to become similar with artists who have contributed to our world and especially their cultures. Once again thanks a million!”
