  • I Know How Many!!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thanks to your generations donations to our project, I was able to create more engaging opportunities for our students during math time. The manipulatives made our Counting Collections lessons fun to do.

When students saw these new materials, they were overwhelmed with excitement. They asked to use them almost right away. They continue to show interest in these items and counting them during math time.

Our next steps are to increase our collections so that we can increase our learning. Students will apply the strategies in counting their small collections when working on bigger ones.”

  • P.E. is Fun!!

    Funded Mar 23, 2022

Thank you for helping my fifth grade class make Physical Education Lessons possible. My students used the funded materials to play fun, and engaging games to help meet the standards for Physical Education. We used the foam balls and cones to play a game to warm up our bodies. Castle Ball became an instant hit.

When they first saw the materials, my students wanted to immediately go outside and play games. They were eager to test them out. The colorful materials added to their excitement.

My students also used the cones to help practice for their Physical Fitness Shuttle Run Test. They enjoyed learning while having fun at the same time.

Thank you for making learning so much fun for my students.”

  • Learning in Colors!

    Funded Oct 21, 2020

Thank you for helping my students in getting our project funded. The project materials will be used to print out student objectives and sentence stems which will assist students in meeting the standards while learning virtually.

By using a document camera during Instructional Read Aloud to show students printed lesson goals and sentence stems in colors, they are learning to think critically at this time away from the physical classroom. They use the sentence stems as a means of communicating in break out rooms as well.

My low achieving students are being given the necessary tools to be at the instructional level they are expected to participate in.

We are extremely thankful and look forward to learning much more this school year!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rodriguez

  • Lights, Camera, Learn!

    Funded May 31, 2020

This document camera allows me to facilitate my online distance learning lessons. I am able to project any paper or document onto my Zoom meetings in order to show students at home what the content will be for that lesson. It allows students to see clearly from home instead of me holding a document up to the built in laptop camera.

My students are excited to see me show them how I use manipulatives to teach math concepts. They can visually see how the concrete objects are being manipulated, therefore making the content comprehensible to them. They are also able to see how I use learning tools such as charts and templates to help them with math problem solving.

Visual students are able to benefit from me using a document camera since they are able to follow along with ease. This tool makes learning so much easier during these times we are living in.”

  • P.E. Equipment for our Fabulous Fifth Graders

    Funded Oct 9, 2015

    Dear Donors,

Thank you for your donations to our Fifth Grade Physical Education project. Amongst the items purchased with your kind donations were softballs, basketballs, bean bags, and spot markers. My students have really enjoyed and benefited from doing Physical Activity on a daily basis by using the listed equipment. Their brains and bodies have both benefited from being active. I can also see growth in language development transfer into the classroom.

My students have learned how to properly throw and catch a ball. They've learned how to pivot and turn. This in turn has created an interest in sports like baseball and basketball. Many students also didn't know how to properly dribble, yet alone toss a basketball, but with the equipment we now posses, they have gained the confidence and knowledge to get out there on the court and participate in vigorous activities.

Now that students have practiced using the equipment during their P.E. time, they are now ready to transfer these skills into their home life. Now they have the ability to join a league or even participate in a friendly game of softball and basketball with family and friends.

Once again, thank you for your donations. We couldn't have created a greater love for Physical Education without you guys!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rodriguez

  • Projecting Learning!

    Funded Oct 7, 2014

My students and I are extremely thankful for your generous donation to our project. It is great to see that you share my passion for bringing the latest technology to my students and giving me the tools needed to enrich my teaching.

These tools you have helped fund will allow my students to access the Internet and enrich their lives with the knowledge they can't get elsewhere. I will use the projector to project iPad images and show students the many useful resources the internet has to offer, such as learning new vocabulary and getting comfortable in using technology to prepare them for them for their future.

I can't wait to get started. Thank you so much!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rodriguez

  • Oh! Now I Know!!

    Funded Dec 12, 2011

As a token of our gratitude, my class and I would like to say THANK YOU!! The classroom items you have supplied due to your kind donations have really motivated and helped our classroom learn. We have set up various centers for students to work at independently in order to reinforce learned skills and also challenge those students who are ready to be academically challenged.

Our district currently faces drastic cuts, so without your help this growing enthusiasm among our students wouldn't have been possible. These visual resources are great, colorful, and motivating. Once again WE thank you!! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rodriguez
