  • 2nd Grade Rockstars!

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donations of wobble stools and storage bins to my second-grade classroom. Your kindness has had a profound impact on both my students and the overall learning environment.

The wobble stools have transformed our classroom into an engaging and dynamic space. They provide my students with the flexibility to move, fidget, and stay engaged during lessons, ultimately enhancing their focus and learning experience. The storage bins have been a tremendous help in keeping our classroom organized and tidy, making it easier for students to access their materials and maintain a productive learning environment. Your support has not only made a difference in the physical setup of our classroom but has also positively influenced the enthusiasm and motivation of my young learners. Your generosity has truly made a lasting impact on our educational journey, and I cannot thank you enough for your invaluable contribution.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Buckingham

  • Busy Bodies Need Busy Tools!

    Funded Feb 15, 2023

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations of wobble stools and storage bins to our second-grade classroom. Your contribution has had a significant and positive impact on our learning environment, and I cannot thank you enough for your support.

The wobble stools have made a world of difference in our classroom. They've provided our students with a dynamic and comfortable seating option, allowing them to move and engage their bodies while learning. This has not only improved their focus and concentration but also made our classroom a more inclusive and accommodating space for various learning styles. The storage bins have helped us organize our materials and resources efficiently, creating a clutter-free and organized workspace. This, in turn, has made it easier for both students and teachers to access and utilize learning materials, leading to a more productive and engaging learning experience.

Your generosity has enriched the educational experience of our second graders, and we are truly grateful for your support. Your kindness and dedication to our students' well-being is deeply appreciated. Thank you for making a positive impact on their learning journey.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Buckingham

  • Teacher Table Round 2

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I can't tell you the amount of joy it gives me and my 26 classroom kids to see our classroom so full of love. We all feel so at home in here. It is a total testament to your giving spirit. Thank you!

We have had several lessons on the generosity of our community bringing our dreams to life! You've paved the way for them to learn how to dream big! You've shown them how to give back and how to be a dream maker for others, people we know and otherwise.

From the bottom of our very grateful hearts, thank you from our Room 210 family!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Buckingham

  • You Bring the Chairs, I'll Bring the Tables!

    Funded Feb 4, 2022

I cannot tell you that gratefulness that my heart feels. When I look around in my classroom, it brings me joy. Kids that walk in always tell me how different my room looks, and parents that come tend to compliment that it looks so homey. That was my dream and you were a part of bringing that dream coming to life.

The first time my kids walked in and saw our classroom transformation they were awestruck! It changed our entire dynamic. I have spent my whole teaching career trying to create an environment that makes every person walk in feel safe and homey. You all helped that come to life!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Buckingham

  • Teacher Table

    Funded Mar 5, 2022

Thank you beyond for believing in our tiny corner of the world and all of our future!! My classroom kids are the luckiest to be surrounded by support and love and to have a community that fosters their growth. This table will give each of my students better opportunities and that is the gift that keeps on giving. 💙”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Buckingham

It may seem kind of wild to have a DonorsChoose project for a classroom set of chairs, but the best kind of learning usually stems from a crazy idea. My classroom has been, and will continue to be, a safe haven for my students. I want them to feel safe, comfortable and curious about their learning. I have a dream of ditching our desks and plastic chairs and filling our classroom space with kitchen tables and chairs. People of all ages learn their best when they feel safe and comfortable. I want to continue to provide just that. I want a classroom that invites the kids who don't typically thrive in a classroom setting to come in and have a seat with us. I want them to feel welcome and connected before they decide it's another classroom that they might not be good enough in. I want to have the same kind of dinner topic conversations with my classroom kids that I have with my own children at home because we all know that builds relationships and trust. Sometimes, it will be about geometry and grammar, but often times it's about what they do on the weekends and how that connects to what we are learning about. That right there? That's where the magic lies. I believe with my whole heart, that when our classrooms are a branch of our individual teacher personalities, even more authentic magic can be made within the walls of our classrooms. I've scoured facebook marketplace, and I've done enough research to know that I can find quality tables on a budget. I will likely need six. I have hardly any chance at finding 26 sturdy chairs. We've been navigating uncharted waters throughout this pandemic. Why not practice what what I preach and dream big?
