Interacting with Learning
Funded Nov 9, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation. The headphones and chargers have made it possible for us to use the iPads on a daily basis. We have added some fun educational apps on them and are looking forward to adding even more. Technology is an important component for education and we use the resource to supplement our curriculum. We look forward to using the books later in the year to publish one of our stories. This fun project is something we have been looking forward to since the first day of school.”

Hello Technology: Part 2
Funded May 1, 2014I can't thank you enough for the generous donations to our classroom. The technology you have supplied has made a huge impact on our development. The students are very excited when they see their work printed out and displayed all over the classroom. I have been able to share color photos of the students work with their families and still keep a copy of the students work in a portfolio.
The students eagerly anticipate when a new package is about to be delivered to our class and they are always so touched when I explain that the items have been donated to us by many generous people who want them to learn, grow, and succeed.”

Funded Dec 5, 2013I can't thank you enough for your considerate and generous donation towards our classroom project. The MacBook Air has made such an impact in the instruction of the students in my class. In addition to assisting me with simple tasks such as inputting grades and attendance, lesson planning, creating classroom activities, and corresponding with parents and administration, the computer has made a huge impact with student learning. It has never been easier to show instructional video clips as well as allow students to log into learning websites to practice skills. You have made a difference for this group of students and for many students to come!”

Organize Our World Part 2
Funded May 9, 2013Thanks again for your generous contribution. The organizational materials you helped to purchase had made a huge impact on our classroom procedures.
The library organization system has made it easy for our classroom library to remain organized by genre as well as by topic. The students can find and return books easily and there is no longer a need to spend hours reorganizing the books.
The bins that we received are filled with different supplies and hands on manipulatively. They are easy for the students to open and close and help to keep our classroom tidy and organized.
You have really made a difference!”

Organize Our World
Funded Feb 26, 2013I wanted to thank you all again for your generous donations that helped to purchase room 18 a rolling file cart. The students were able to access their portfolios in order to save and review work they had completed. I have been able to color code the files and it has helped add much needed order to our classroom.
Although the school year is complete and your children are moving on to second grade, this file will remain in room 18 and benefit students for years to come. Thanks for your all of your support!”

Mrs. Romero
Hello Technology!
Funded Mar 26, 2012Technology is such an important aspect of education. It is an important dimension for students at University of Phoenix and can be useful in elementary classrooms as well. I appreciate you choosing me for your grant because it will have an important impact on many students. Tools like iPads and computers allow equal access to all students to the many varied resources available online and through educational applications.
It is encouraging to see a university investing in past students like myself and trying to reach out to future generations of students as well.
Thank you for choosing me to receive your grant.”

Learning Can Be Fun! Part II
Funded Jan 26, 2012I cannot thank you enough for your support of my classroom project. I have been using our color printer pretty often and I know that the extra ink will come in handy very soon. It has brought a new dimension to assignments, bulletin board, and projects to include color and it has been very exciting for the students. I recently used the cameras and some of the photo paper to send home framed pictures for a Valentine present for the parents. Your support has really meant a lot to myself and my students. It is a wonderful lesson for them to see the difference kindness and support can make.
Thank you so much!”

Funded Dec 9, 2011I want to thank you again for your participation in donating to my project. I have always wanted an ipod for classroom use and it has made a huge difference in my ability to incorporate music, video, and more to our daily lessons. I have since received funding for a dock to play the ipod out of and this has cut down on a lot of wasted space my old boom box took up. I also no longer need to fumble through Cd's trying to find the right one for the song I want to play. Having everything loaded into the ipod is a big time saver which is important. We always want to maximize the time the students are at school.
Thank you so much for helping us hear music again!”

Funded Dec 22, 2011Learning is fun again! Thank you donors for your generous contributions to our project. We have been supplied materials to bring out the creative side of learning. It has been so great to be able to print out materials in color for our bulletin boards. It makes the board look so much more colorful and calls attention to our work. We have also really enjoyed using the ipod and dock on a daily basis. The dock not only plays our music loud and clear but also doubles as a speaker for our computer. We have even brought it outside because it is wireless.
We really appreciate your support. We have been blessed by you all!”

Funded Dec 17, 2011It has been so great getting outside and enjoying the PE equipment you have helped supply us. I have seen such a positive response from the children to go outside and play now that we have so many materials to use. We have been going out for PE at least 3 times per week and have played a variety of games. The parachute has been a favorite of the students but they have also enjoyed the jump ropes, balls, hula hoops, bean bags, and baseball equipment.
I know that fitness and health starts at a young age and know that you have helped these children to a good start.
We appreciate it more than you know! ”
