Distance Learning and Fun
Funded Sep 28, 2020We really appreciate your generous and thoughtful donations to our class project. It has been so helpful being able to use the materials you helped us get for the our school year of distance learning.
Being able to print our worksheets and provide the students with whiteboard markers and stylus pens has been so helpful. We can't wait to return to school when we can safely and I know that the skills we have developed during this time will make learning in the classroom even more effective and efficient when we return. Thank you again.”

Funded May 18, 2020Thank you for the kindness and generosity you exhibited by donating to my project. It was a very big shock when schools were shut down and a huge adjustment for all of us. Not being able to get supplies from school made this even more challenging. Also, making all of the copies from home was causing me to go through my ink really quickly.
The poster boards and markers also came in handy for teaching lessons from my house. The students deserve to get the best education as possible and it was much easier after receiving the donations.”

Cartoons That Move
Funded Oct 8, 2019I am very excited because we are about to embark on an exciting project to culminate our reading unit on Characters and their point of view. We will be writing our very own stories and eventually we will create stop-motion movies to bring our stories to life. In order to understand stop-motion and how it works, along with filmmaking in general, I want students to understand the basics in animation.
These high quality Zoetropes will help us to create our own short animations. I am excited to see what creative ideas the students come up with. Thank you again!”

Let Learning Grow
Funded Nov 10, 2019Our classroom has been completely regenerated with the addition of our new rug. The students were very excited when we unrolled the rug into our classroom. The bright colors made the room feel like a warm and inviting place. The rug is helpful because it has a spot, with a flower, for everyone and gives them enough space to feel comfortable.
We also use this rug for our class meetings. During these meetings we sit around the edge of the rug and the grass and flowers help make the energy of the meeting comfortable and as if we were sitting in a field of flowers together.
Thank you for helping improve our classroom environment.”

Funded Dec 21, 2018The students must have asked 20 times, "When can we use Botley?" After securing enough batteries we have been able to have coding fun with these awesome coding robots. Learning the basic steps to understand how coding works is a very important skill for these students to have in the future as so many jobs will be in the technology field. I am excited that we can have hands on coding experiences in our very own classroom. These robots have added a lot to our tech lessons and the students are having so much fun, they don't realize how much they are learning.”

Artistic Expression
Funded Dec 1, 2018The students really have enjoyed having their very own sketchbook to keep their personal drawings inside of. We have used them several times since receiving them, and I am amazed by the creativity and artistic expression that has filled up many of the pages. It is a third grade standard for students to keep a personal sketchbook and in previous years we have made them stapling papers together. That worked fine, however, the students feel like real artists having an actual book of their own. The charcoal pencils have been a great addition to our art lessons because in third and fourth grade, we focus on shedding and using value to show depth in our artwork. Thank you again for your generous assistance”

Making Music for Math
Funded Sep 4, 2018Thank you so much for the generous donations to this project. It was so sad to hear we didn't have the funding to purchase recorders this year as it has been an important part of our instruction for the past few years. The recorders came just in time for our music class and the students in 4 classes have been using them to learn a variety of songs. In fact, 40 third graders will be performing jingle bells next week at our winter holiday show. This would not have been possible without your thoughtful gift. I am looking forward to the second semester and all of the lessons the students will receive.”

Computer Techs of Tomorrow
Funded Sep 4, 2018I am so excited to get the students using the 6 sphere mini's you helped us obtain. They are so much fun and best of all, the students are learning valuable information about how to code. We have been on coding apps in the past and the students are familiar with the very basic building blocks of how computer programming works, but actually making the sphere robots travel around the classroom is an exciting and engaging activity that I know they will enjoy. I have been spending some time making our iPads accessible and very soon we will be using them. I can't wait to share photos of the fun!”

Funded Jun 3, 2018The iPads have really impacted our classroom in positive ways. The students were very engaged when they learned how to use the iPads to create little movies. The movies they made were written by the students and they also created the sets, the scripts, the sound effects and voiced the characters. Projects like this really help to shape the student's understanding of storytelling and make the learning so much fun. Thank you for your generous and thoughtful donation to our classroom. We truly are inspired by people like you.”

Funded Dec 27, 2017I wanted to thank you again for your generosity towards our third grade classroom. We left on Winter Break with a broken printer and when we returned three weeks later, our new printer was waiting for us. It was extremely easy to set up and we can now print wirelessly. The students have enjoyed being able to see their typed words in print and the convenience of making a quick copy has saved us class time. This printer is quieter and makes much cleaner copies than any printer I have every used. We really appreciate it.”
