  • ELA Bootcamp!

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Thank you so much for your help in making this project possible. I cannot wait to share these resources with my students. Also, quite excited to plan out strategic and impactful lessons for them. These resources will have tremendous impact on my students' learning and their command of the English language.”

  • Lights, Color, Learn!

    Funded Oct 30, 2024

Thank you so much for your help in getting these new lamps into my classroom. Our previous lamps had over time fallen into disrepair over the years and needed to be replaced. The students enjoy the new lighting in our classroom. The main overhead lights in my classroom can be disorienting early in the morning and discomforting for students that are unwell with headaches. These lamps in my room provide sufficient lighting for them to be awake and complete classwork in proper lighting without it being overbearing. It has created a more positive learning environment to my students. Thanks to the smart bulbs I can ensure that students do not need to misuse the lamps since I control the lights from my phone. Again thank you for your help with this project.”

  • Restocking Cleanliness

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you for getting these supplies into my classroom. Just in the nick of time as we have run out of certain supplies. Personal hygiene can be a big concern to my students. Having a steady supply of tissues and hand sanitizers help my students feel ready to learn in my class. This also diminishes their need to go to the bathroom to get these things thus making it less likely for them to miss vital class content. Accidents occur but having paper towels and stain removers ensure that we are prepared for any situation. This ensures our learning continues with minimal interruptions.”

  • New Series

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Thank you for helping me get this new manga series into our classroom library. A few of my students were amazed and excited to see a new series added to our collection. There is now a wait list as students take out the mangas to read at home. My students have shown great enthusiasm to read this series. Every Friday we have independent reading time for any book they have chosen from our library. These new mangas provide a positive new challenge because so many students wish to read them but must learn to be patient as other peers finish reading these texts. Thank you again for bringing the joy of learning into my class.”

  • Visual Learning

    Funded Sep 28, 2024

Thank you so much for all your help in getting these white boards into my classroom. We have already begun using them in various class activities. My students occasionally work in groups to write out their thoughts of a text they read or to break down the meaning of various vocabulary words.

Another class activity we have done using these boards are reading jigsaw. For long texts my students were split into groups and each group was assigned a portion of the text to read. After reading they would write out the key ideas of what they had read and add their own notes to the ideas that they had learned. This promoted group learning and helped foster class discussions over long texts.

We are grateful for having these resources to use in the classroom.”

  • Project Supplies

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your helping me get these supplies into my classroom. My students were excited to see our new resources arrive. This will go a long way into my students' learning. We have begun to use the supplies in a variety of ways. Some have used the poster paper and construction paper for our class projects. Soon we hope to have completed posters that will demonstrate all that they have learned in this Unit. We plan on using these supplies for future class projects in other units. We are forever grateful.”

  • Fight for the Prize!

    Funded Oct 25, 2024

Thank you so much for getting these resources in my classroom. Occasionally when I start my class we do a do now (warm up activity) to be introduced to the lesson for the day. I make some of these do nows into a competition where students are motivated to excel in this class practice and arrive to class on time. The activities range from academic quiz bowls to vocab word searches. My students love the activities and are motivated to not only compete against their peers but to have the opportunity to gain a prize.

Students were overjoyed with stickers that they use to decorate folders, laptops and personal water bottles. Others love the novelty pens to use in the classroom. It has added a new level of joy and community in my class. Thank you again for your help in this endeavor.”

I teach ELA for all of the 10th grade in my school. My students are amazing, creative and insightful individuals. I encourage these traits through creative writing workshops and exposing them to a globally diverse collection of authors. Our classroom has an extensive library that we use as a resource in our learning. Every Friday students have a free reading period to have the chance to practice their independent reading skills and discover the joy of reading from a book that they have freely chosen. From our library my students have a selection of books, comics, news magazine and mangas to read any story they wish or even learn a skill from one of our reference books that teaches students new hobbies.
