  • The Final Goodbye: Our Last Book Before Fifth Grade Graduation

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generosity in funding my recent project. The support you provided means so much to me and the students.

Thanks to your contribution, we are able to give the kids the opportunity to read the final book in the series before they leave elementary school. The excitement in their faces is absolutely priceless. This book has been a long-anticipated part of their reading journey, and it's a perfect way to close this chapter of their academic experience.

Your kindness and belief in this project are making a lasting impact on these young learners. I can’t thank you enough for helping make this dream a reality for them. We all deeply appreciate your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Malik

  • "Our Wild Adventure Continues: The Wild Robot Escapes!"

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous support in helping us secure The Wild Robot Escapes for our classroom! While the books haven’t arrived just yet, we are so excited knowing they’re on the way. My students are already buzzing with anticipation to continue Roz’s journey.

This donation means more than you know. Not only will this book bring joy to my current students, but it will also remain in our classroom library for future fifth graders to enjoy year after year. You’ve helped spark a lasting love of reading, and your kindness will continue to make an impact far beyond this school year.”

  • Remote or Not! The Learning Doesn't Stop

    Funded Dec 17, 2020

During remote learning, having a dual screen setup made a big difference in how I could support my fifth-grade students. With one screen, I could keep our live Zoom class running while using the second screen to monitor student work, respond to messages, and share lesson materials without constantly switching windows. This setup helped me stay more connected and organized, allowing smoother, more engaging lessons for my students. They could see visual aids, real-time annotations, and their classmates' work more easily, which made learning feel more interactive even from home.

What excited my students most was how much more I could do at once to help them. For example, I could quickly pull up extra visuals or videos without disrupting the flow of a lesson, or provide instant feedback in breakout rooms while still keeping an eye on the main class. One student in particular, who was usually shy, became much more active in discussions because I could give her more one-on-one support in real time. The dual screen setup helped me reach students in a more personal way, even through a screen, and that connection made a huge difference in their confidence and learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Malik

  • Game On!

    Funded Dec 23, 2024

Thanks to your generous donations, my students have been able to engage in learning like never before! The games we received have transformed our classroom into a space filled with excitement, collaboration, and critical thinking.

From the moment my students saw the games, their faces lit up with pure joy. They couldn't wait to dive in, and now, these resources are a regular part of our learning. Whether we're practicing math skills, building vocabulary, or working on problem-solving, these games have made difficult concepts more accessible and fun. Students who once hesitated to participate in lessons are now eager to engage, showing newfound confidence as they learn through play.

One of the most memorable moments was watching a group of students tackle a challenging strategy game together. Instead of giving up, they discussed different approaches, encouraged one another, and celebrated every small victory. These moments of teamwork and perseverance are exactly what I hoped for when bringing games into our classroom.

As we continue using these resources, my goal is to integrate them even more into our daily lessons, reinforcing key skills while keeping learning exciting. Thank you for making this possible—you have given my students more than just games; you've given them a love for learning that will stay with them beyond this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Malik

  • Wild About Reading!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping my students get copies of The Wild Robot! Due to your kindness, we were able to read the book together and have meaningful discussions about nature, technology, and survival. My students were deeply engaged, asking thoughtful questions and making connections to their own lives. It was incredible to see them so invested in a story and eager to share their ideas.

We also had the opportunity to watch the movie, which added another layer to our experience. Many of my students absolutely loved the book and talked about how much they enjoyed following Roz's journey. Your support made all of this possible, and I am so grateful for the impact it had on my classroom. Thank you for believing in the power of reading and for giving my students such a special learning experience!”

  • The One Good Book That Can Change Everything

    Funded Dec 9, 2019

Thank you so much for donating. My students were so excited when we received our box of books. Almost everything single one of them ran to our library to get a new book. Some of the students have asked if they could just lay down and read. I have never seen my students be engaged in reading. The books that we have received has encouraged my students to read more.

The books that I requested are mostly non fiction. My students love reading The Who was series and now we have a whole collection. By reading nonfiction books, my kids reading levels have gone up. My students are also writing reports on influential people. Without your donation, this wouldn't be possible. So thank you for putting a smile on my students faces.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Malik

  • Trying to Stay Calm, Focused, and Productive

    Funded Dec 16, 2019

Thank you so much! My children are really excited to have flexible seating now! They will be able to sit on the floor and do independent work. These floor cushions will give them comfort and give them the opportunity to move around since they are stuck in a classroom the whole day! Thank you once again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Malik

My students love reading and won't stop. Unfortunately, as a first year teacher I do not have enough books or money to give my students books that will spark their interests. The job of adults who care about reading is to move heaven and earth to put that book into a child's hands. I included the series Who Was to provide them the opportunities to grow in which they deserve. Each child in my class will be able to read the series and go above their reading level. As for my passionate readers, I included books that remind me of them. Each book was hand picked for my students and their interests.
