  • New Basketballs for the Varsity Basketball Team

Thank you very much for your support in funding this project. We appreciate your help in having this project funded. As our season is about to start, new basketballs are always needed. The team will really benefit from your help and we expect great things out of the team this season. The boys are very excited to get started and your support in funding this project will help a great deal. I hope that you can continue to show support for public education through Donors Choose. The platform has done a tremendous job helping our school obtain the necessary resources for our school and athletic programs.”

  • Girls Basketball Team

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity regarding the donations that you gave us in order to purchase the gear for our team! We used the sweat suits in order to travel back and forth to home and away games and to build camaraderie amongst our girls. The sneakers were used during every game we played and made us really look like a team!

When I first gave out the materials, the girls on my team were ecstatic. As a first year varsity member, the gear really made our team feel special and a part of something together.

This upcoming season we will be doing a similar fundraiser for similar gear because of the overwhelming success of last year. Our girls were really made to felt special, and we would like to build upon that for this upcoming season.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rogerson

  • Sweatsuits and Shooting Shirts for Varsity Basketball Team

    Funded Nov 22, 2016

The sweat suits and shooting shirts that were bought with the funds so graciously donated by all of you had a tremendous impact on our team. From the moment we started wearing them to school and traveling to our away games dressed as a team, our players began to bond with each other more and also felt more like a team. We constantly received compliments along our journeys and this type of attention did wonders for my players' self-esteem.

When I first gave them their merchandise, each of my teenage players acted like a child on Christmas. They could not wait to try them on and wear them to school the next day. In fact, most of them wore the suits to school every day. It was really wonderful to see the joy in their faces when they received their gear.

As a teacher in an impoverished neighborhood in Philadelphia, my students are neglected by many things. These small clothing gifts may not seem like a lot to many people, but to my players it made a huge impact. I want to thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart, for making the lives of a group of teenagers from North Philly just a little bit better.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rogerson

  • Getting Active With Athletics

    Funded Jan 22, 2014

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your kind donations to my project. My students really appreciate your kind gesture. The students will benefit greatly from your donation to our project.

The students are ecstatic about the foam rollers and Slipp-Nott to be used for the athletic teams and PE programs at our school. The foam rollers are used to stretch and massage sore muscles before and after working out. Stretching is a key to all physical exercise.

Knowing that there are people and corporations willing to give to our school has really made an impression on my students and inspired them in the classroom.”

  • Getting Active with Physical Fitness/Girls Hoops

    Funded Jan 14, 2014

I greatly appreciate your contribution to our school. The materials that have arrived are already being put to great use. The students understand the great financial hardship facing the district and individual schools, and that make your contribution so much more meaningful to them.

The foam rollers will be used for stretching before activities and it helps relieve muscle tension as well. The students will be able to use these rollers in PE and athletic programs at our school this year and in the future.”

  • Getting Active with Stretching

    Funded Jan 6, 2014

Facing difficult financial times, you contribution was a great help for our Physical Education and PE Department. The students greatly appreciate the items donated through this project and they have been put to use on the first day. Our District was hit with a 600 plus Million Dollar Deficit for the current school year and everyone has been impacted.

With no money for supplies, your help in purchasing these foam rollers will help hundreds of students this school year. I encourage you to continue supporting students getting active and leading active lifestyles through DonorsChoose.org.”
