  • Positive Behavior Party!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much! We were able to have 3 PBIS parties last Friday. 1 for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! The students were thrilled to enjoy a snack and drink as they played games and enjoyed their wins!

It is so important that our students feel noticed for doing positive things and working hard.

We have plenty of snacks to get us through our PBIS parties for the rest of the school year and we could not have done it without your help. Shout out to everyone who helped and Donors Choose for facilitating matching funds!”

  • It Is Cool to Be in School!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

This air conditioner has been beyond amazing. Our students are able to keep cool and keep learning.

There is nothing worse than trying to learn when literal sweat is pouring off you, being in an upstairs classroom with no air-conditioning, that is the reality.

When the air conditioner arrived and the students first saw it in the lobby, they were saying how they wished it was for them...little did they know it was!

You should have seen their faces when the custodians brought the box into our classroom. They were speechless!

    We can't thank you enough!”

  • MLK is Poppin'

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

The students couldn't believe when the big box arrived at the school and were wondering if it was really a popcorn machine. When they case of popcorn arrive in the main lobby...also not in a normal shipping box, they knew it was true.

The popcorn has been very motivating for students to be their best. We made it for them on concert day, for the 5th graders who couldn't go on the field trip due to monetary reasons and we even held pbis contests to have classes earn the chance to have a popcorn class party. It has been amazing.

The popcorn excites the scholars so much that it has them smiling from ear to ear.”

  • Picture This Part 2: Photography Club Needs Cameras

    Funded Aug 13, 2022

The cameras that were donated to my school, helped fuel scholars that were inquiring about the world of photography. The cameras are a part of the photography club, which help scholars learn about photography on many levels. Scholars learn how to take pictures which angle works best and more.

The product excites the scholars so much that it has them smiling from ear to ear. Scholar not only want to take pictures of important events during the school year. They want to take pictures of everything, somethings of importance and others that are not. They just want to snap pictures, that is how excited they are to use the cameras. They are learning a skill that can and will take them place for many years to come. There are particular students that have warmed to this technology. The scholar was looking up information on the internet as well as on other social media platforms. The scholar is always looking for the fresh and new ideas.”

  • Conquering the Digital Divide

    Funded May 6, 2021

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This computer brought on such a positive impact for my students. It was so nice to see it in use during such a difficult year. The computer was used in a multitude of ways including using it to connect with students who were fully remote.

Closing the digital divide is something that does not happen overnight but this project definitely helped!

My students were left speechless learning of the kindness of others that brought this computer to them. It was so nice to be a part of. We could not have done it without you!”

  • Guided Reading Station Needs Chairs

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you is not enough, for what you have done for my class and schloars. To see the excited, happy faces of my scholars when the seats were erected is priceless. Because of your generosity my scholars love for read continues to grow. Not only are the seats uses for guided reading, they are use for quiet reading, independent reading and studying.

The seats have giving the classroom a better look and the scholars love them. They want to sit on them everyday, every hour, every second, it is a beautiful thing. The items l am requesting will service the scholars in my class in a number of ways. The main purpose is to provide seating for the guided reading station. Guided reading station, is a station where 4 -5 (possible more) scholars are seated at a table reading, decoding and more. Scholars are grouped by levels and meet periodically through the week to get that extra support to build a stronger literacy comprehension. The items will service the conference station where the teacher and scholar will conference about work that may need a one to one guidance through the week or weeks.
