  • Help Us Learn With An iPad Mini

    Funded Sep 7, 2013

When I told my students that our project had been funded, a loud cheer erupted from the classroom. Your donation is something that my students will never forget. Because of your donation, my students are able to see that if we all work together, we can achieve something big.

Now that we have the iPad Mini we are able to explore new worlds. Currently my class will begin research the local Los Angeles council members so when we visit City Hall, they will be able to share their research. In the future, I have planned many more exciting projects planned.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to help fund this project. We truly appreciate you thinking of us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Dolphins and Penguins and Shamu - Oh My!

    Funded Oct 9, 2012

Words cannot express how grateful my class was for the opportunity to have part of our trip to Sea World funded. Our trip proved to be fun, educational, and inspiring.

It was with your donation that my students did not have to worry about how they would pay for their meals on top of all the other expenses. Each child was able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner while at Sea World. The kids loved the chance to be able to order by themselves and show their independence.

Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your donation. This was a trip that my students will never forget!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Laptop for Learning

    Funded Feb 16, 2013

Today we received our brand new Toshiba laptop. When I showed the students a loud applause erupted from the room. We are so excited to have this chance to work with a new laptop!

Donating to our project has allowed over 90 students the chance to explore the world using technology. My students will now be able to go on virtual field trips so they can study the multiple biomes around the world. Students will also have the opportunity to research the California mission systems and create a virtual mission of their own. My students will also have the chance to create PowerPoint presentations about the native Americans where they get to focus on a specific area. Also, my students will have the chance to use the publisher program to make a brochure where they will advertise their business for the money unit.

Again, thank you so much. We are truly blessed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Life is Painting a Picture

    Funded Oct 15, 2012

Being able to express oneself through art is something truly special. Due to the pressure of test scores and accountability, students don't have the chance to express themselves through art! But due to your generosity and kindness, my students will have this invaluable chance to great a beautiful mural!

With our paint, we will create a lily pad mural right outside our classroom that is located next to a beautiful garden. Once the mural is created my students will be able to learn outside. This will help to create a more calm and patient learning environment.

Once again, thank you so much for your generous donations! I can't wait to begin on our new project!”
