Help Me Combat My Students' Snack Attack
Funded Jan 4, 2024Sheer excitement was on my student's' faces when they saw all the boxes of treats! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for encouraging my students to be the best they can be. I am able to reward them for simple acts of kindness, being a responsible students, going above and beyond, winning in Kahoot or simply earning a good grade on an assignment that ordinarily would be difficult for any particular student. It also helped with rewarding students who are not just successful in my class, but also in the rest of their classes. This project included and rewarded all students with their interest. Thank you again for graciously supporting me, as a teacher, and my amazing group of students.”

Funded Oct 14, 2022My students and I thank you abundantly for your donation to our class. Your contribution has allowed our classroom to be more mobile, clean, and rewarding. The wireless keyboard allows me to be more mobile while teaching. With the snacks, I have been able to reward students for completing tasks, winning in educational games, and simply being caught doing the right thing when they think no one is looking. Having a wide variety allows me to reward all children based on their likes. Lastly, our cleaning supplies keeps our room clean and tidy. This goes beyond the classroom spreading pride in our workspace and reinforcing the notion that we take care of our area. Learning in a clean, mobile space with incentives makes for an engaged and productive environment. Thank you abundantly for believing in my students!”

Funded May 10, 2022Thank you so much for your donation. We received our materials towards the end of the year; however, it came in handy. They were ecstatic to see the materials arrive. The chips were used for reinforcements / rewards while we were playing our game boards. Also, the pencils came handy for completing exits tickets / a Yelp review. Lastly, the workstation allowed me to place their game boards for easy retrieval. This upcoming year, I look forward to my new students using the Essential Workstation, while reinforcing organizational skills. They will see how organization is key to success and a clearer peace of mind. With an abundance of appreciation, I thank you for your generosity in supporting our classroom and providing my student's with the tools necessary to improve their achievement while having fun.”

Funded Feb 8, 2022We sincerely appreciate your contribution to our "Restock, Reset, Reward Mid-Year". It enabled us to get snacks for teambuilding and individual rewards. Rewards in my classroom comes in many forms anywhere from catching a child for "Doing the Right Thing" to completing assignments early. Also, your donation helps facilitate a clean classroom with the air purifier filter to keep our air clean and Clorox wipes to sanitize our desks. It was such a great sight to see the smiles on my students faces and hear the giggles of excitement when they saw the boxes stacked in front of the classroom. A big shout out to "Mission Tiger" who contributed by matching every donation to this project. My students hearts are over run with gratitude from all the donations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations.”

Funded May 21, 2021Thank you so much for supporting and believing in my students. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to make my class "Lit" through literature activities. It has been a rough year and this will help me continue following through with creative activities for all my students (online and physical). Next week we will be doing a book tasting and now I can come up with an activity that will follow up using their creativity and our new color printer. As part of the book tasting, students were able to go home with their own colorful book mark, thanks to our new color printer. Also, in preparation of next year (because it is never too early to start), I was able to update a couple bulletin boards to make our classroom colorful with Lit. I can also now look into escape room activities to print for next year. Lastly, student will be able to create flyers, dioramas, and other creative activities to show their talent next year. Thank you abundantly for your generous donation and supporting my students learning.”

Distance Learning Leads to Diversified Learning
Funded Oct 22, 2020Thank you an abundance for the support towards our classroom. Obtaining the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allowed for interactive, fun learning to take place when a the odds were against us. Having students quarantined or simply parents requesting that their child receives their education through online methods, put a real strain on exciting interactive lessons. Through Teachers Pay Teachers we were able to do a socially distanced activity such as capitalization carousel. Also, we did an virtual escape room purchased with the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. In addition, we were able to access an abundance of Black History Month activities that spearheaded a banner wall outside of our classroom. Lastly, we still have a few possible learning experience activities for the end of the year.
I have already put together a Escape Room for the end of the year if all goes well.
My students and I thank you abundantly for supporting our classroom.”

Funded Oct 22, 2020Thank you abundantly for supporting our "Clean Air State of Mind" project. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic many students and families had to make the tough decision of coming back physical when schools reopened. Imagine a single mother having no one to watch her child forced to make the decision to send him or her back to school. Or the parents who have a family member in the household with a compromised immune system. One more scenario, grandparents raising their grandchildren having to make the decision. The thoughts were swirling in many of our families' head. As a teacher, I thought if we need to come back, "what can I do to ease the minds of families?" That is when the thought launched into my head, air purifier and a replacement filter. When I announced it in class there was a roar-like cheer, followed by a relief on their faces. Everyday the purifier is working and allowing my students to learn stress-free. As a result, they are able to work harder and learn more. It is such a relief to know in these times there are heartfelt people in our community and world who are willing to support us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening your heart and wallet to provide us with a "Clean Air State of Mind". Thus, leading us to work worry-free on building our future.”

Funded Aug 3, 2020I would like to thank you abundantly on behalf of my students for your donation. I was able to move forward with part of my project prior to getting fully funded. Therefore, I sent out letters to my students at the end of the year, prior to funding. Due to COVID, we closed and opened the year virtually. As a result, I was unable to witness their reaction to receiving the letters. However, I did get many compliments from my new students on their new revamped bulletin board (both online and when some students came back physical). I was able to print and laminate the classroom rules to post on the bulletin board behind me while teaching online. I have been about to use the inspirational bookmarks for my students caught reading during non-instructional phases and it has really brought a smile to their faces during these trying times. I look forward to having students create bookmarks when all is said and done and laminating them as a keepsake. Thank you again for such a wonderful gesture during these tough times. It really sends the message to my students that even through rough times, they have support. Thank you again for graciously paying it forward and supporting us.”
