Kinder's Crazy About Books!
Funded Aug 12, 2021I want to start by thanking you all for all of your donations! I'd been using the same leveled readers and classroom books since I started teaching in 2016 and it was time for an upgrade! My students were so excited to see our couch in our library center. As you can see from the pictures, everyone wants to read on the couch!
My students are reading to one another thanks to our new leveled readers. They are always asking to go to the library to get a book when they're done with their work. We've even had visitors from our upper grades to come check out our new library and read a book or two to the class. Thank you again!”

Funded Sep 24, 2021Thank you again for donating to our project! My students have been enjoying our new outside toys. They are creating games to play with one another. They are laying the floor is lava with the balancing logs. They are playing catch and soccer with the ball. The kids are enjoying the jump ropes and hula hoops as well.
When I began to put our storage box together they were wondering what is was and what it was for. Once it was together they started to ask what are we going to put on the box. Then, I started pulling all the toys out and they started screaming with excitement. They were naming all the toys as I pulled them out. They helped me put our toys in the box.
They're enjoying these toys so much, we may get some more to add! Thank you all again.”

Funded Sep 30, 2020I would like to thank you for your generous donations! I've always had a passion for cooking and for reading and I am so happy to be able to bring these passions together in my classroom. The students are truly enjoying our reading activities and snacks/treats that we have made to go along with them. Not only are the snacks/treats delicious, but my students are much more engaged during reading time. They are able to retell the story, give great details, and even are learning to change the ending of the story to make it different. Students are also learning life skills through cooking. These are skills that they will continue to use. Thank you again.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020My students and I would like to thank you all for all of your donations to our "Socially Safe in Kinder" project! We have just returned to school using a hybrid model where students come physically twice a week and virtually three days a week. I am able to use our infrared thermometer to check students temperatures throughout the day. The children's face mask also have come in handy for my students who have forgotten theirs at home. The travel size bottles are awesome! Each student is able to have his/her own bottle of hand sanitizer. Because of your contribution, we are able to continue safe practices all while still learning. Thank you again!”

Funded Jun 12, 2019I want to thank you so much for all of your generous donations to our cooking center. My students were so excited when it arrived! We have already made several food items in our class thanks to you all. I am able to add some fun to our math and ELA lessons with cooking.
The students have began learning how to measure, using our measuring cups. They have learned how to properly use a cutting knife, thanks to the plastic knives we received. The students are also learning responsibility by cleaning up their areas and placing all cooking items back in our cooking cart as they should be. So thank you again!”

Funded Aug 26, 2018On behalf of my class and myself, thank you for your support. You have continuously provided our class with donations to enhance learning. The students were so excited to receive our new items. They were ready to build using the cardboard toolkit. The students have already created some amazing projects using the toolkit. For our open house the students created a house, a store, a power ranger, and a castle using card boxes and the cardboard toolkit. They have also been created some amazing things with the Straws Builders Construction Building Toy Set and the LEGO set. Again, we appreciate all of your donations!”

The students are able to practice their writing skills, mathematic skills, reading skills, and their artistic skills. The iPads have created a new avenue of learning for my students. Funded Sep 13, 2017Thank you all for supporting my classroom! My students and myself greatly appreciate it. From this project we received: Kindergarten journals, food trays, plastic pouches, cases for tablets, and clothespins. Since we received these items, they've been used on the daily basis. The students write in their journals every morning. We use the food trays during center time for different activities. Each student received a plastic pouch and they use these to practice other skills. The students use tablets every day so it was a delight to have covers on them. And the clothespins are used to hang their amazing work around the classroom. Thank you again for your help and support!”

Kinder Needs Kindles
Funded Mar 17, 2017Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom kindles. The kindles are being used as a technology center during center time. The students learned how to use the kindles quickly! I was able to download a few educational games on each kindle that are child-friendly. I am also able to use the kindles during my morning small group. When the students have completed their work, I use one of the applications, such as ABC Mouse, on the kindle to reiterate what we worked on during small group. The kindles are a great tool to have in our classroom. Thank you again!”

Ready, Set, Seat Sack!
Funded Oct 27, 2016My class and I want to thank you so much for donating to our seat sacks project! We immediately began using the seat sacks the day they came to us! My students use them to put their workbooks and journals in. They also have their writing packets inside the seat sacks as well. My students love them so much! The seat sacks give the students a place to make their things much more accessible than before. Again, we want to thank you so much for donating to our seat sack project! You are such a big help to my students!”
