In a classroom with very limited technology, engaging in learning becomes difficult. My students deserve to reap the benefits of what learning in a 21st century classroom can provide. By donating to my students, you will be helping them have access to resources that will provide help with grammar, writing, reading and math fluency, as well as the communication tool to become accountable for their own learning. My students will be using these iPads everyday to communicate their learning to their parents through the Seesaw app. They will take pictures of the work they have completed throughout the day and post with a caption to explain their learning to their families. This not only creates responsible leaders, but also helps improve communication between students and families at home. We will also be using the iPads throughout the day for reading and math centers. We use many resources throughout the year that use QR codes to make learning more engaging for students. We also use online resources such as NewsELA, which provide help with reading fluency, critical thinking skills, keyboarding practice, and help with spelling and grammar. The possibilities for practicing reading, writing, math and STEAM content skills using technology are endless! I also hope to create engaging lessons for my students using websites such as Kahoot! However, this would prove to be difficult without access to technology. Research proves that technology in the classroom, when used properly, provides for a more meaningful and engaging experience for students. The possibilities are endless when using technology to create responsible world learners!
