My students are from a low social economic backgrounds. Most of my class, if not all, are on free or reduced lunch, and school meals may be the only thing they eat all day. My students are very happy kids who are very eager to learn. My school is a neighborhood school where most students walk to school and their families don't even own cars. My school is considered a rough school due to the fact that the student's parents have to work many hours a day to make ends meets, and don't have the time to spend teaching and caring for their children. Many students go home to be taken care of by their older siblings.
