Funded Nov 2, 2018I would like to take this opportunity to thank you immensely for your donations. My students' have benefited greatly from having a printer in the classroom. A printer is allowing my students the chance to learn in a much more hands on way. Now instead of writing everything down they are cutting and pasting in their interactive notebooks.
The most exciting part of having a printer in the classroom is that we are now getting our copies in color. The students' seem very pleased to see their notebooks as colorful as possible. Also, they are excited about having their work they typed displayed in the classroom. With a printer in the room it makes it so much easier for them to be able to print their work.
My visual learners that need constant images in color to really draw them into the lessons are especially happy with the printer. Now they are able to have actual copies of images of the lost golden city, or the great pyramids in color instead of just visualizing what they might look like. Again thank you all for your donations, it means the world to us to be able to print in the classroom.”

Funded Jun 27, 2018First and foremost, thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to have a 21st century classroom. The look on my students' faces when they walked in on the first day of school this past September was priceless. They had never seen a classroom with so many seating options. They couldn't help but walk around and try all the seats. They were so excited that I did have to discuss some expectations for the flexible seating which they didn't mind at all. They fell in love with the seating the moment they stepped in. Again, it meant the world to me to see the look on their faces that first day of school.
We are using the flexible seats instead of the traditional chairs that are available in the building. The students are also allowed to chose a different seat everyday. Some days students prefer to sit in the yoga balls, other days in the wobble stools and then some sit in the crates that have cushions. Surprisingly with all this seating options my students are not fighting or running into my room to grab a seat. They know we have to take care of our gifts we were lucky enough to receive, and that if you don't get the seat of your choice today there's always a chance to get it tomorrow. These flexible seats has made the classroom more of a cooperative learning classroom because since we got them we were able to change our traditional desks for tables. The close proximity allows for teamwork throughout the day.
Next steps, that's a tough one. There's so much we would like to get funded. I think for our next project we would like to continue the flexible seating momentum and create a project to get flexible tables, other seat options and storage cabinets. This is all so new to us and we really are enjoying our new seating. We look forward to continuing to improve our classroom. So look forward to hearing from this 21st century classroom very soon! Thanks again for your generous donation.”
