  • Feeling So Fresh and So Clean During the "Wonder Years"

    Funded Sep 23, 2022

Thank you for your gracious donation. I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of my students, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of hygiene products. Your support plays a vital role in our mission to make sure all students feel fresh and clean. Many times, students do not have access to daily hygiene products; now, they are able to use them at home or school.

The hygiene products you provide will make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Many individuals and families struggle to access basic necessities, and your contribution helps ensure that they can maintain their health and dignity.

Thank you once again for your kindness and support. Together, we are making a positive impact in our community.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Let's Stay Charged Up for Mental Health

    Funded Oct 8, 2024

We are deeply grateful for your generous donation of headphones and iPad chargers to my students. Your support plays a vital role in enhancing our students’ learning experiences and promoting their mental well-being.

The availability of fully charged iPads and the ability to use headphones will empower our students to engage more effectively with educational resources and mental health tools. These resources are invaluable in helping them focus on their studies and access essential support services, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

Thank you once again for your kindness and commitment to our students. Your generosity makes a difference in their lives and helps us create a more inclusive and supportive community.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Guided Reading Books

    Funded Dec 31, 2018

Thank you for the books that my class was able to receive! My students are special needs and many read below grade level. However the students still have certain interest so I was able to obtain high interest lower level books. In our class library we had limited amount of books and most of the books students had already read. I was also able to get books that I used as a book club. This was great because other 4th/5th graders in general education classes were talking about being in book clubs. So now my students could have a book club of their own. Thank you for the donation that keeps on giving! The love of reading.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Keeping My Technology Safe and Charged!!

    Funded Jul 27, 2018

Words can not express what your donation has done for my class! My goal was to be able to keep my Chromebooks safe and charged. I am able to keep all the Chromebooks charged and safe all at the same time.

My students were extremely excited to see the charging station. They no longer have to wait for the Chromebook to charge before they can use them. My class uses these Chromebooks daily. They are used for class assigned quizzes and test. I am able to communicate with by students via Google Class and assign individual work to each student.

Teaching multi-grades is difficult but with the computers I am able to differentiate their lessons. My older students will be working on research projects and learning to writing and document resources. All students use the Chromebooks to read online and play educational games.

Once again thank you very much for your donation, it is appreciated! With your donation you have become an intricate partner in helping to educate our future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

  • Technology, Tools and Learning for Special Needs Students

    Funded Nov 8, 2017

Words alone can not express how much your donation of the technology means to my class. Thank you, thank you for giving my students the opportunity to succeed like other children their age. My students were extremely happy when I told them we would be getting Chromebooks to do the different programs that we use.

My students are on the following computer programs everyday; Lexiacore5, Waterford, and Ten Marks almost daily. Instead of my students having to go to other classes, they now have their own. Students do not have to share with one another now!

The impact that these Chromebooks have made are tremendous! My students have been able to move up in the reading programs we use! The students are also increasing their levels in the math program that we use. Currently my students are working on a research project for Black History and the look on their faces we they read something interesting from the computer is priceless!!

    Once again thank you”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

I teach Special Needs ELLs (English Language Learners) students in an urban community where they have so much joy in learning and constantly experiencing life as they know it. Not only do the ELLs must overcome many challenges, including limited schooling, trauma, and poverty but there is also a intellectual deficiency. Some ELLs come from countries where education is not mandated. There are ELL's that travel and are constantly moving from one school to another. There are also ELLs who may attend school in their native country, but the quality of education is less than the U.S. Students experiencing trauma due to war, natural disaster, or dramatic poverty is critical to their development. I want my students to enjoy learning English through interactive technology. Interactive learning is a more hands-on, real-world process of relaying information in classrooms.
