  • Weebles Wobble, But They Don't Fall Down!

    Funded May 10, 2024

I am so unbelievably thankful for the amazing support I saw during teacher appreciation week. Our job can be a rewarding, but difficult one that takes a dedicated team of people working together to make it happen.

I couldn't provide for my students everything they deserve to make our classroom a comfortable, fun, engaging environment without someone like you supporting us.

My students are hardworking kids who get the wiggles and deserve to have different seating options to help them stay motivated, and focused. Providing these Wobble Stools for our kids offers me the opportunity to give more students more flexibility in their seating and comfort levels.

I am so genuinely grateful to know that there are kind, generous, and thoughtful people like you in our world!

Thank you, thank you thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harney

  • Time for Tabletops!

    Funded Dec 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind, generous donations to our classroom. These tables have made a great impact on our students and their ability to sit comfortably in our classroom during independent work, small group, and whole group instruction.

It offered our students the much needed opportunity to work in different areas of the classroom where they were able to feel more focused, productive, and independent.

I could not have made this project happen without your kindness, generosity, and continued support of my classroom. I am now using these tabletops for the second school year, and my students still love them!

They are sturdy, reliable, and have now helped two classes worth of students! Thank you so, SO much.

    Much appreciation, gratitude, and love”

    With gratitude,

  • City Life Meets Farm Life

    Funded Mar 12, 2021

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in fulfilling this project for my students!

We are working on finding a farm to collaborate with in order to bring this project to life this spring! My students are incredibly excited and are very much looking forward to learning more about this process.

Your continued support never ceases to amaze me. The generosity that people show is a clear reflection of just how much people want our students, and this nation's children to succeed.

    Thank you again!”

  • Manipulating Math!

    Funded Dec 5, 2020

Having these sets of dice and number/operation tiles has helped us get our students into more hands on math!

Some of our students definitely learn better when using movable pieces to help solidify certain concepts into their minds. The dice have helped us turn math tasks into games, and the tiles have given the students the opportunities to create number sentences and strengthen their ability to create new, accurate equations to represent the word problems that they can read!

It has been a difficult year, but with your help you allowed our students to have another opportunity to grow despite all the challenges they have come across this year! For this we thank you!”

  • Lenovo for Learning

    Funded Jan 29, 2021

Receiving this laptop has been such a blessing for us! My students have had little to celebrate this year, and because of the generosity of your donations I was able to bring a little more fun to our classrooms.

Not all of my students had devices they could bring into school to participate in Kahoot games, and Nearpod activities. This week I was able to have my students bring in their devices for the first time, because I had a device I could supply my students with. The first thing we did was play a game on Kahoot that matched our fantasy unit with character traits and themes. My students were shouting, celebrating, and had such a fun, friendly competition.

My Assistant Principal heard all the noise and popped in to see what was happening, and was so happy to see the kids happy and involved. Our ESL teacher who pushed in also was able to join in on the fun. Being able to include more technology in our classroom gave our students so much joy, and laughter. It was an incredible sight to see a little more normalcy happening for them where they could laugh and play together.

I really can't thank you enough for your support and giving them this opportunity for fun, joy, and laughter. You have made such a big change!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harney

  • iPad for Student and Teacher Connectivity

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your kindness and support! It has made such a big impact after having to quarantine multiples times since receiving this iPad! Having a second screen to use, and reliable connection has already helped me to be sure I have multiple ways to reach my students.

For example when I was having connection issues sharing my screen for our ELA reading lesson, I was unable to show the students the necessary materials and reading guides. I was then able to take out my iPad, join the meeting from a second spot, and continue the lesson seamlessly. The students didn't lose out on instruction, and I was able to model the work for them in the best way possible!

Your continued support truly means everything to me! I am forever grateful!”

  • Sew, You Need a Mask Huh?

    Funded Jun 8, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to creating a safe environment for my students to learn! Having the ability to make custom masks for my students was really helpful in brightening up my classroom. We were able to provide more 'fun' looking masks for those students who did not come to school with their own custom, fun ones and we were really able to take away the look of the medical masks in our room! This made the atmosphere brighter and the kids were so excited!

This year has been a very difficult year so far, and every little thing we can do to make it a brighter situation or bring our kids a little more joy makes a huge difference. Your generosity and kindness truly means to world to us! Thank you so, so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Let’s Learn All About Who Is? What Is? Books!

    Funded Dec 30, 2019

Thank you so much for donating for us to get these books for our classroom! I gave our students the heads up that a very special package was coming and they were SO excited when it arrived.

These books are a fun, way for students to gain new knowledge about famous people, places, and different times throughout history. While going through the books and labeling the levels, each student got to see the different topics we could learn about and got more and more excited with every book that passed. We have been able to pick books that reflect the population of students we have, and people they aspire to be. It is important that our students have books that reflect them, and it makes a difference for them to be able to seem themselves in the books they read.

As soon as these books came in, my students were intrigued and couldn't wait to get their hands on the books. We have been trying to have marathon reading in our class to build stamina, some days it was a struggle, but having these new books made a huge difference in the level of focus my students had during this time. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop! When it was time to talk about what they have read, the students were filled with SO much information it was hard to get them to move on to a new subject! Students were able to swap books and share what they were reading, and it was so refreshing to see the interest that they shared in these topics.

Without people like you, it wouldn't be possible to keep our classroom library new, and relevant. You have made such a huge difference in our classroom. My students, co-teacher, and I are beyond grateful to you for that!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harney

  • Learning More to Meet the Needs of Diverse Learners!

    Funded Nov 21, 2019

Thank you so much for the opportunity to better reach my students. It is known that for the population of students in my school the last thing to come from our English Language Learners is their comfort to speak openly in English.

This iPad has offered me the opportunity and resources in order to learn more hands on ways to get my students involved. We have been working on Area in math, and I was able to learn different tools through Apple Education that I can use to help my students. Additionally I have been given mobile access to a Professional Development opportunities online where we can watch videos of how we can refine, or enhance our teaching skills. Through the skills, and access to group work that I have been learning I have been able to engage my English Language Learners in more group work, providing them a safe space to try out their new academic vocabulary in English.

Having this iPad has allowed me to reach my students in a way that I have not been able to in the past. We have more hands on tools and ways for the students to use the technology available to us in our classroom. Thank you SO much again for your kindness, generosity, and commitment to seeing the youth of our nation flourish!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harney
