• Super Fun 1st Grade STEM Activities

  We are thrilled to have received our donors choose items. We have used all of our STEM activities. The students have loved using the STEM puzzle board games. They have used the instructions to make puzzles and have also engineered their own puzzle paths! I love the creativity and engineering skills I see my students using with these items.

  We are also using our math flash cards to help us practice our math fact fluency. All of the items have been so helpful in class. Thank you for your generosity!”

• Engaging Chapter Books and Voice Amplifier

  Thank you for your generous donations to my class. The voice amplifier has allowed my students to better hear lessons. In addition to hearing the lesson, they are also able to hear instructions more clearly, which has allowed them work with accuracy.

  My strong first grade readers are looking forward to using the amazing chapter books we were able to purchase because of your gift. The chapter books will allow us to have rich discussions about character traits, comprehension skills and understanding the author's purpose for writing the book. • Creativity and Critical Thinking With STEM, Reading and Writing Supplies

  Thank you for making a great impact on my first grade students. First grade is a time of discovery, inquiry and exploring. My students have had so much fun using the STEM building blocks. We will use the black felt tip markers for writing and art assignments. We have used our EXPO markers during our reading and math lessons. We will learn about nouns and verbs using the flash cards in a game format. This will be an engaging activity that I know they will enjoy. I will use the fun fidget toys as incentives for my students.”

• First Grade Fun!

  Thank you for your generous donations! These supplies have and will continue to help my students with STEAM and literacy lessons. STEAM encompasses many subjects. The glitter and stickers will help embellish art lessons. We've used the base ten blocks to build our STEM skills. The Teachers pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase digital lessons to supplement our district curriculum in exciting and interesting ways. So far, I've purchased STEM building cards that help us create. My strong readers are already using the new chapter books and I've also been reading the books aloud to the entire class. • Spelling, Writing and Stem, Oh My!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to my first grade class. We are so excited to use our new supplies in various ways. We have already practiced our math skills using the magnetic whiteboard. The students used magnetic 10 frames to practice addition facts. The students also had a lot of fun playing the Bananagram games. They were really excited to find and spell words using the tiles they randomly chose. We appreciate your donation to public education. It is because of you that we are able to accomplish great things in first grade.”
