  • Help Us Get Access to Learning Resources Part 4

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

Thank you for your donation for this project request for a gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers. This gift card has been beneficial for my students as I have been able to access essential learning materials for my students as well as supports for our content area lessons.

This gift card also has helped to purchase educational resources for our small group instruction. We have a variety of levels in our class so it's important to have a variety of resources available. Thank you once again for your support.”

  • Supply Our Supplies!

    Funded Jan 22, 2024

Thank you for donating to this project earlier this school year. The supplies were put to use right away. Since the students know that these items were donated, they've been more careful with using their supplies making sure they don't lose their pencils with frequency, keeping their caps on their markers, and making sure if their anchor charts are bundled, they keep them together. The paper has been used for special activities related to our current Social Studies unit. Thank you for once again supporting my students.”

  • Help Us Expand Our Culturally Responsive Classroom Library!

    Funded May 20, 2023

Thank you for your support of this project request earlier this year. It's very important for students to have access to books that reflect their own self as well as others. I was very excited to add "The Kindest Red" to the library collection. We read "The Proudest Blue" written by the same author last year. The students really enjoyed listening to the book, reflecting on the message of the book, and how they could make a personal connection. My coteacher and I asked the students what kind of books they wanted to see in the library, and students provided great suggestions on topics. These books are just the beginning of our library expansion.”

  • Can I Copy You? Part 12

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you for your recent donation of printer ink. The color ink has already been put to good use in printing resources for supporting the academic progress of my students. This year my school is using a new literacy curriculum. The ink has helped to print vocabulary charts, modified texts, and anchor charts to help support their learning. In addition, to help print extra homework to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. It has also been used to create vocabulary charts for other content areas. Thank you once again for your support.”

  • Getting Ready for Middle School!

    Funded Jun 21, 2023

Thank you for supporting this project request earlier this year. These transition summer workbooks were a great gift to give my students for the summer as they transitioned from fifth grade to sixth grade. The students were very happy when they received the workbook as well as the other graduation gifts they received. Many of these students I've known since Pre-K so even though I was sad to see them leave our school, I was also excited for their new educational adventure. Thank you once again for your financial support!”

  • Getting Ready for Third Grade!

    Funded May 5, 2023

Thank you for supporting this project request earlier this year. These transition summer workbooks were a great gift to give my students for the summer as they transitioned from second grade to third grade. Some parents had mentioned to me how much they loved having something academic for them to do over the summer. The workbook featured a variety of activities that reviewed second grade concepts while also providing an introduction to what will be expected this school year. Thank you once again!”

  • Little Explorers!

    Funded Apr 22, 2023

Thank you very much for supporting this DonorsChoose project. The water has been great to have available especially on those warmer weather days. The binoculars were just used for our trip to a local garden in our city. They loved observing plants, bugs, and animals up close thanks to the binoculars. They will also be using the binoculars on an upcoming trip to the zoo. They can't wait to be little explorers again. They will also be receiving the masks when we go to the zoo. I can't wait to give them the masks. They will be so excited. Thank you once again for supporting this project.”

  • Can I Copy You? Part 11

    Funded Mar 24, 2023

Thank you for the color ink for my classroom printer. We've recently been printing more educational resources for our students to have access to. A lot of ink was used so we needed to refill our ink cartridges very quickly once it ran out. Thanks to your donations, we were able to refill our cartridges very quickly. The educational resources such as vocabulary cards, reference sheets, mini anchor charts have been great for all of our learners. Thank you once again for your support of my classroom.”

  • Alphapals Educational Toys

    Funded Mar 31, 2023

Thank you for supporting this DonorsChoose project earlier this school year. My students were so excited to see these adorable alphabet pillows when they were taken out of their storage bag. All of my students wanted to interact with them right away. These alphabet pillows have been used for a small group of students who need academic support in letters, sounds, and creating words using sounds they know. They've been enjoying using them so far. It's always a great thing when students are engaged with their learning.”

  • Educational Resources!

    Funded Jan 22, 2023

Thank you very much for donating to this project. The paper was used for so many different things in our classroom this school year such as classwork, homework, parent letters, and educational resources. The laminating sheets were used to laminate vocabulary sheets and cards to ensure long term use. The hole punch was also very helpful as my previous single hole punch was so hard to use to punch holes in vocabulary cards. Thank for helping to make my job a little easier thanks to these resources.”
