  • We Choose Kindness!

    Funded Nov 5, 2024

    Thank you sooooo much for your contribution to our "We Choose Kindness" Project! We have changed the standards for Kindness Day with your help. We were able to pass out goodies and affirmations to all that deserved it, Staff and students. The reactions were astounding!

    The stickers were a huge hit! My class was able to pass out some to numerous people on several occasions. They were a big encouragement and was the game changer for more positive attitudes across the board. The note pads were greatly appreciated, and the conversation cubes are now being enjoyed by the classes on a regular basis.

    The Kindness project was beneficial for all involved. Staff and students became so fond of the idea that we will plan something school wide every year.

    Thank you all again for making our first annual "We Choose Kindness" week an unforgettable success.”

  • Improving Mental Health for IND and ASD Students In School!

    Thank you so much! Your contributions, no matter the size, truly made a difference. We were able to fully fund the project in a short time, and we are incredibly grateful.

    Many of my students come from poverty-stricken neighborhoods and face daily challenges, including intellectual disabilities. The social-emotional games and stress relief items we acquired will greatly enhance our classroom environment and the learning process. These resources will help us implement de-escalation techniques and coping strategies, allowing my students to focus and concentrate better. The snacks will also serve as excellent incentives.

    Thanks to our Donors Choose project, my students have gained the confidence to strive for academic and social success, despite any setbacks they may have faced in the past. We are all very thankful and appreciative!”

  • A Little Extra Motivation

    My students are from an environment that includes a lot of poverty and dysfunction. Most people have given up on them because of their misbehavior or negative decisions that they have made in the past. They need motivation and incentives to help them believe that they can become better then there's situation. It is then that they rise and perform to the expectations.

    We truly appreciate the snacks, a mechanical pencils, and other items that they feel are special in their learning. We Are forever grateful. Thank you again.”

  • Beating the Odds With Limited Technology!

    Thank you so much to all of our donors. Each and every one of you made a difference, no matter the amount of the donation. The project was completely funded in a short period of time, and we are extremely grateful.

    The speakers really enhanced our classroom and the learning process because we were then able to use our smart board with volume loud enough for everyone to hear. During this challenging time of the pandemic and social distancing, the speakers made our virtual field trips, Promethean board presentations and lessons more interesting and effective. The snacks helped the kids not to worry about being hungry at times and some were also used for incentives, such as popcorn during a video, etc. Some of the students were even taught the correct way to use the microwave and was able to pop their own popcorn.

    Our Donor's choose project gave my students the confidence they needed to want to do better academically and socially regardless of those that gave up on them in the past.
