I teach as an Intervention Specialist in a multi-category special needs classroom in a low income rural community. I currently have 7 students in grades 1-4 with a range of disabilities. My kids all work at different levels and different speeds and each student comes to me with an Individualized Education Plan that includes multiple individual academic goals. I am utilizing Donors Choose to purchase a chromebook that will allow me to plan and implement learning activities for each individual student based on their current IEP goals. If my current project is funded I will have one to one chromebooks. This will allow me to save logins for each student so that they can easily access materials based on their needs. Academic resources that are available online make learning fun and engaging and allows my special students the practice opportunities they need.
