My students range in age from 1st to 5th Grade and face the challenge of being Dyslexic. They come from families with very low socioeconomic statuses, that focus their attention on providing adequate housing, food and clothing for their children. My boys and girls are beautiful children that, although having a learning disability, try to learn while maintaining a positive attitude. Unfortunately, my campus is one of the first schools built in our district and it is located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. Since our school district is so big, they can't always provide materials or new technology to all of the schools. Sometimes it is up to us teachers to find the means to reach our students to deliver the best possible education.
