For the Love of Learning !
Funded Sep 7, 2023We can't even put into words how thankful we are for the materials you donated to our classroom. The materials you have donated are used on a daily basis and has created such a happy, learning atmosphere!
Notes from the students:
" this is the first year I actually enjoy reading. I actually read every day."
"I have had so much fun during math time. I love seeing my test scores this year."
" I even ask to bring books down to the cafeteria to read sometimes!"
You have truly made our classroom a magical place!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lehman
Wobble and Learn!
Funded Nov 20, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations that have added to our classroom success! Our students have been using their new tools everyday! Certain students use wobble chairs at their desks instead of seats. This allows them to constantly move while they are working which has aided in their focus. This has led to higher assessment scores. The balls are being used by many students when they come to the meeting area. They use these balls to allow their bodies to constantly move in order to help them better focus on the lesson being taught. These alternative seats have truly helped our students to succeed in their academics.
When our students first saw the package their faces lit up! They kept screaming when can we blow those up! When can we put together those "things!" When can we use them!!!!!! We had told the students these materials were tools not toys and they decided to come up with their own rules for these items so that we can start using them right away!
We hope in the future to start a project for IPADS. We have many special needs students in our classroom who struggle with how to hold a pencil. Allowing them to complete worksheets and writing on the IPAD will allow them to complete their work in a timely manner and allow them to focus more on the topic at hand than the grip of the pencil. IPADS will also add in their vocabulary. Many students in our class struggle with vocabulary. Being able to pull up pictures for words would really aid in our students understanding of words in articles and texts they read. IPADS will also raise our students motivation levels.
We cannot thank you all enough for your help and donations to our classroom in order to give our students what they need in order to see them succeed at their highest level of potential.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lehman
