I have a group of l special needs students with needs varying from learning disabilities to mild intellectual disabilities. Differentiated instruction is difficult enough in any classroom. However, in a special needs classroom, reading and math levels can differ greatly especially in middle school. They are hard workers who have been taught to be respectful. Many times a day I hear thank you, yes ma'am and see other forms of manners. The school is located in a low socio-economic area, but the students, parents and community are the first to give support to those in need. The school is a supportive close-knit family in a rural town. We need tablets for our students to see how technology is being used in everyday jobs. Help provide real world technology to prepare our students with life and job readiness skills.
