I have 48 adorable Kindergarden students. They are in a 50/50 Dual Language program. My students are learning both English and Spanish with two different teachers (they have to work twice as hard so it can be a bit more challenging for them.) There is a group of 24 students in the morning and then another group of 24 students in the afternoon. We switch the students and classes after lunch. This is a Title 1 school and there are a lot of low income families that live in this neighborhood. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. Some students just came over to the United States and are beginning to learn English for the very first time. Other students know English and are learning a second language. A few of them might even become trilingual or more by the end of the year! My students are ambitious little kids, 5 and 6 years old, with hard working and supporting parents.
