My students learn in a collaborative integrated co-teaching environment. With two teachers in the classroom, we do a lot of small group work, and flexible seating. Flexible seating gives students the freedom to move around and not stay in their seat for extended periods of time. They're able to focus and remain engaged throughout lessons when given different seating options. I am requesting a small group learning table, that is specifically designed for effective small group teaching. With this table, I will be able to reach more kids in an organized, comfortable seating arrangement. When we work in small groups, often times, we sit on the carpet, or at a small table without adequate space. Having a small group learning table, would arrange the students in a way that would allow me to reach them all at once, and gather data more effectively.
