I have the privilege of teaching ELL students in my school. Our school is located in a very low income zone. Additionally, my students are English Language Learners which make them At Risk Students.
My students are unique with individual and specific needs. My KG students enter my class without any previous academic experience and without any knowledge of the English Language. My very first job is to make them feel safe and accepted in our Monolingual School. They are very receptive and curious but often find difficult to adapt to our school environment.
