Our school's mission is to prepare students from many low income families (>40% free/reduced lunch) for later college success through a project based approach. Projects with real-world appeal interest help advance our students in their drive to attain higher levels of education in science and engineering. Vivid hands on learning for kinesthetic/visual learners with a large amount of theater and humor are hallmarks of my classroom approach. My projects are carefully designed and serve not only students from one semester but are recycled , used over and over, year after year to reach hundreds of students in 6th and 8th grade. Other teachers also have access to the materials for their classes . Science teaching and problem solving using engineering principles make a rich context for student minds to flourish. Projecting for 140 kids a year means materials! Kids love what I do and I love them too by all the DOING!!!
