Macs for Radio
Funded Feb 19, 2013This letter is written in gratitude for the generous donation you have made to my classroom and to our radio station. The headphones that you donated help my students every day and they are constantly being used. Students use them to listen to and select new music for their shows, edit their recordings, and monitor levels of live music and audio. The computer that your donation bought has allowed students much easier access to technology vital to helping them succeed in their daily learning environment. It also provides a valuable way for them to enrich themselves by doing valuable research and preparation for project based learning. The headphones and computer are used in my beginning classes, my more advanced classes and in my lab.
Our school is currently in need of funds so without your help, my students would never have had these important resources. For a radio station and broadcasting academy that is rapidly expanding, having the proper equipment so that all students can participate equally in projects is crucial for the programs long term and short term growth.
As a result of our efforts other high school's have seen and heard the power of radio in a high school environment and are looking to integrate programs like ours into their schools. Thank you for supporting us and for being a part of a program that has local, national and international impact.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Day

This classroom project was brought to life by ABC Family and 3 other donors.Macs for Radio
Funded Apr 18, 2012This is a token of appreciation for the gift to our classroom, radio station and school that is so very valuable to us. Mac computers are the engine or our Radio station operations. Each computer opens a universe of possibilities for our students and enables my teaching to be that much more effective. We struggle to raise funds for each extra computer we can find and having being doing so for almost three years now. With the new computer we can now accept more students to next years program. Our program becomes a feasible option for more and more students.
Thank you again for your support!”

Champs Radio - The Voice of the Valley
Funded Oct 29, 2010I've been teaching at a charter high school for the Arts and Multimedia from its first year of operation in 2005 to now. The school has grown from a small intimate 100 students to almost 800. We need to continue to grow to survive and your donation at this moment is particularly helpful. On behalf of our students, parents and friends in the community, I thank you very much. We will use the equipment to improve the lives of our students, the school, our city and other schools in America who are founded on a dream.
The Ipod and the headphones are particularly useful to the station as both are needed on a daily basis. The ipod allows students broadcast their music and produce events on a regular basis. These events are important means to promoting the station and what it represents. The headphones are used in the studio so that students can work on their shows without distraction. Without these products, students, through no fault of their own, amble along in their learning hindered by lack of the right resources. With the products their learning is enhanced and they are able to rapidly advance towards realizing their dreams! Thank you again for your support. ”

Mr. Day
