  • Supportive Seating for Success

    Funded Apr 13, 2023

Thank you so much for funding this chair for my classroom! It will certainly be put to good use, and will provide flexible seating options and relief for everyone! This will go a long way in providing more opportunities for my students to be alert and engaged in class, which is great for everyone!

The students have really enjoyed having this extra option for seating in my classroom. It has also become an added incentive for them to stay on task and complete their work, because sitting in this chair is a privilege.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

  • Seating For Success!

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

These tables and chairs have breathed new life into my classroom seating, and the students absolutely love them!! My wonderful students helped me put them together, and we haven't looked back since! The first few days I had them in my classroom, there was a mad rush at the beginning of each class period to see who got to sit at these tables. Since then, I've made seating charts/ rosters so that students get equal time at the tables. They can also earn extra time at the tables through good behavior and good grades!

Beyond giving us extra seating, the students now have a very appealing added incentive to be productive members of our learning community, and I cannot thank you enough for it! THANK YOU!!!”

    Ms. Walton

  • Paging Ms. Walton!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

All I can say is WOW! These pagers have revolutionized the way I conference with my students on an individual basis! If I want to hand them out at the beginning of class and call them up one by one, or if they go up and take a pager on an as-needed basis, it has truly made a huge impact on my classroom! As a teacher, time is always of the essence. Time, and quiet productivity! These pagers have allowed me to make the most of both these essential items!

Beyond their practical use, my students absolutely love to use them. They find it very novel and fun, and as an added bonus, they enjoy pressing the buttons to call the next student up!

I now have other teachers asking to borrow my pagers on days that they need to conference with students, and am so glad that this has turned into something we now use across the campus!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

  • Snacking For Success

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

When the snack packages arrived in my classroom, my students peppered me with questions immediately. They were so pleased and excited to see that people cared enough to send them snacks. They had a hard time believing it at first!

With your snack donation, I was able to make food available to my students in all of my classes. Students were allowed to pick a snack each class. On those days, I can say with confidence that my kids were more engaged and alert, and very grateful!

Your donation definitely made a positive impact on my classroom, and I cannot express how thankful I am!”

  • Supplies, Snacks, and Sparking Interest!

    Funded Dec 29, 2021

Thank you so very much!! The new whiteboards have provided me with a great way to assess student understanding easily. The snacks have proven to be a great supplemental incentive to my students and their work ethic has vastly improved. As our STAAR test and the end of the year both get closer and closer, it becomes more of a challenge to keep students engaged and interested in learning. The things you helped provide for my classroom have been great tools and motivators for my kids.

I truly appreciate you donating to my project!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

  • Supplies + Simplicity = Success

    Funded Apr 13, 2020

Thank you so very much for helping supply my students with the things that they need. With our new supplies, we are able to work more effectively and efficiently in class. The supplies help save us time and truly make things more convenient for us every day.

My students were very excited to hear that people are so invested in their education and wanted to help us out with supplies. They love using the new electric stapler and pencil sharpener. They also enjoy being able to write on the whiteboard.

For my next project, I'm looking into getting a class set of Born A Crime by Trevor Noah funded, because it's a fantastic novel and I think my 8th graders would really respond to it and enjoy reading it.

Once again, thank you so much for your donation. Please know you are making a lasting, positive impact on students and helping to shape the next generation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

  • Organizing for Excellence

    Funded Nov 6, 2019

The materials we received from "Organizing for Excellence" have made a major impact on our classroom organization! The students really do crave the structure, and being shown a method of organizing their work and keeping track of assignments is a valuable skill that is applicable not only to the classroom, but to life in general. As you can imagine, I have many students who are not adept at keeping track of their work, and I wind up having to make multiple copies of the same assignment. With this new organization system, the assignments are easily accessible and students are able to track their progress/ achievements every day.

The next step for me is creating graphic organizers and rubrics for my student's readers notebooks so that my instruction can be more rigorous and standardized.

Your donation has truly made an impact in my classroom that will be evident for years to come. Thank you so very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

  • Chairs and Charts

    Funded Oct 4, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom. Because of the fantastic chairs you funded, my students now have ample, comfortable seating options. It has truly impacted our learning environment . Work productivity has gone up, and my students absolutely love the seating options.

My kiddos are personally invested in our new seating, as they actually helped me to put the chairs together! While I take pride in maintaining a clean, organized classroom, my students now share in that pride because they helped to create it. (We had a lot of fun putting the chairs together- a lot of chaotic, ridiculous fun!)

Once again, thank you so very much for your donation. We will certainly put the chairs to good use!”

  • Organizing For Success!

    Funded Jun 7, 2019

My new printer, plastic sheets, and colored paper have allowed me to revolutionize my classroom organization. Each student now has a color-coded, organized binder that contains their work in a cohesive manner. When I ask them to navigate to a certain page/ section, they are able to do so immediately. The organization helps us to maximize class time, and teaches them the value of taking care of their belongings.

The color printer has allowed me to create book menus with recommendations on them for my classroom library. Before, I was limited to the workroom copier, which is black and white. The colored ink ensures that the menus are bright and engaging, encouraging the students to look at them and actually use them.

My students love the fact that they're able to pick out their binders immediately, and that they now have a menu of book recommendations to choose from. They have even remarked on how much the organization has helped them learn better.

This would not have been possible without your generous help. I am truly grateful and thankful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walton

With every class, it takes trial and error in order to find the best way to keep your students organized. Several teachers on my campus have utilized binders and dividers in order to teach their students valuable organizational skills, as well as help them keep track of their work. Unfortunately, heavy duty binders and dividers (that I intend to re-use for multiple years) are not cheap. I, along with my campus, simply do not have the resources to be able to furnish each of my students with their own binder and set of dividers. Because I teach reading and writing and am a STAAR tested grade level, it is essential that I cover a wide range of areas with my students, such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and formal writing. Often times, in addition to the 8th grade ELAR curriculum, I must also spend time refreshing students on learning concepts from previous years. If I am able to help my students classify their work into specific categories, then give them their work at the end of the year, they will be able to refer back to it as a resource for the rest of their academic careers. In the past, my students have used composition books in which to complete their assignments. Unfortunately, over time, they tend to get ripped up, pages get lost, and students wind up using them as a sort of 'catch-all' for their belongings. By switching to binders and dividers and storing them in my classroom, students are far more likely to keep track of their work. That way, I'll be able to keep an eye on them and ensure they are treating their papers and my supplies with respect.
