Your support has not only brought new texts into our classroom but has also opened up a world of knowledge and learning opportunities for our students.
Through these texts, students have learned critical thinking skills by analyzing primary sources, comparing different perspectives on historical events, and making connections between past and present. They have also developed research skills as they dive into the rich content of these books, searching for key details and evidence to support their understanding of historical events.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation of earbuds and Chromebook chargers. My students are using their Chromebooks to take notes as well as to log their reading, so it's very important that it comes charged. However, life happens, and having additional chargers has been very helpful for us. In my history class, students work on their notes at their own pace, which includes recorded lectures. This means that with the earbuds, students can take their time and access the curriculum at their own speed. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.”

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom to have diverse mentor texts. These are so important for students to be able to understand the texts and have deep connections to them. We have been working on our traditional literature unit at the moment and the students have really been enjoying hearing the stories from the books as we learn about the patterns found in traditional literature. We've been examining heroes, villains, magic and more!
My students are doing a 40 book challenge this year, where the goal is to read 40 books in a variety of genres throughout the entire year. The key for this is exposure to all genres of literature so that they can find what they like and learn how to be lifelong readers.
We are all enjoying the books, referencing them throughout our lessons and day and we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you again.”

My students absolutely loved reading "The Tempest" and they still regularly discuss it. We had different students read each role, and we discussed how even though this play is from the 1600's, how some of the prejudices that are present in the play still exist today. We loved discussing the moral ambiguity of so many of the characters, and looking at all of the images. In fact, one student even used the images to cast his own version of the movie! One of my students actually realized how much she enjoyed the play and has started to look for and read more Shakespeare on her own. Thank you to all the donors who helped with this. We really appreciate you!”

Thank you so much for the class set of these amazing books which allowed me and my students to explore American History from the perspective of many different groups of people. My students and I completed a book study on this, combined with other books of similar topics to discuss how history is written and who it is written by. We did fill in the blank notes as well as extension activities to really uncover the true history of the marginalized groups here in the United States. I'm so thankful to all of you for your contribution to my classroom!”

As an autistic and ADHD diagnosed educator, I know how hard it can be to focus in the classroom. Especially when you really want to learn. My students know that I will get them moving and doing fun activities, but they have to do the work required by the curriculum.
I teach sixth grade English and History, as well as one class focused solely on social-emotional learning. My kids don't have much, but give all they have every day. They deserve the absolute best and I hope to give them that.
