My students attend a school that is in an area of high poverty neighborhoods. Most of my students are on free/reduced lunch and school is a place of comfort and structure for them. Additionally, almost 1/3 of my class is in the ELD program. My students take nothing for granted because things change daily in their lives...except for school.
