Operation Book Replacement
Funded May 27, 2020Covid-19 has impacted everyone, world-wide. You have helped fund a project that will provide new, quality book options for students during a very unsettling time in their lives. In our district, buildings closed down and students still haven't come back; that includes everything that went home with them over spring break, eight months ago. Collecting unreturned books is next to impossible at this time, nor is it my priority. We don't know what everyone is going through on an individual or family level. The compassionate thing to do, was to search for a way to replace the books at no cost to our students or district. You have helped that happen and we appreciate you more than you can imagine. We are doing curbside pickup of library books and things are working smoothly. Thank you again for helping us find a way to make this happen.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. DONALD

Funded Aug 8, 2020I'm blown away with all of the generosity that has been shown to our students through the DonorsChoose program. I am passionate about providing information and stories to children and I can see that I'm not alone! In such a strange time in our world, thanks to your compassion, I will be able to provide students with a piece of normalcy, a story, an experience, an escape . . . a library book! We are doing this! Together!”

Mrs. DONALD
Growth and Exploration in the Library!
Funded Jun 13, 2019This past spring, you generously donated to our library project for STEAM and STEM activities for indoor recess and enrichment time in our library. The autumn months in Alaska don't require much indoor recess, but we did break out our new games and puzzles a couple of times already and the kids were STOKED to have new things to delve into.
The puzzles, alone, have the kid's minds moving and they even race against each other to complete puzzles. The Snap Circuits have been a huge hit also, and the puppets get kids of all ages playing pretend with one another.
Thank you so much for helping out our school, your donation has touched every student, as libraries often do.”

Funded Apr 17, 2018Wow! What a gift. The students were touched that strangers could care so much about them. Most of the books are being used as a novel study RIGHT NOW with a 6th grade class. The teacher had been waiting for the opportunity and you made it possible! The others are being used as a read aloud to 5th grade classes across the school. Next week, local college hockey players will be in to read from it to classrooms. We can't thank you enough. When you give to a library, your gift reaches hundreds of students within a year and thousands within 5 years.”

Mrs. DONALD
