My students are enrolled in the very first year of our school's Digital Arts and Technology Magnet! They, along with their families, are very interested in learning more about digital arts, graphic design, film and video production, video game design, computer programing and coding, and so much more.
They are a very motivated group of students! They are creative, curious, gifted, talented, funny, and eager to learn!
This year my goal is to have students develop a strong Digital Arts and Technology Portfolio. This will begin their journey in preparing for college and careers (some of which likely don't exist yet).
We are a Title I school, and my goal is to help close the achievement gap of underrepresented populations in STEAM academic pursuits and careers. To do this the students participate in STEAM integrated curriculum including Project Based Learning and Transdisciplinary units.
About my class
