The Meeting Spot
Funded Aug 9, 2022I can't begin to express the joy that you have brought to our classroom. The rug is amazing. It has been a huge hit with my students. They were so excited when it finally arrived because we started the year without a rug. We meet as a whole on the rug and students spend time here during centers. It really is a comfortable and cozy space for sharing ideas. Thanks to your generosity, we now have the missing piece to our classroom. I thank you and my students thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Aug 7, 2022I can't begin to express the joy that you have brought to our classroom. The snacks and flexible seating have been a huge hit with my students so far. Thanks to your generosity, students have been able to have an afternoon snack daily. We are the first in our building to eat lunch, so that snack really helps curb their afternoon hunger so they can finish the day strong. Parents have loved this so much that they have continued what you started by replenishing snacks as needed. I thank you and my students thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Feb 9, 2022I can't begin to express the joy that you have brought to our classroom. The KleenSlate customizable whiteboards have been a huge hit with my students so far. Thanks to your generosity, students have been able to be more engaged and have individual voices in writing and math lessons. They are active participants and have had so much fun using their own KleenSlate. Students no longer have to share those lower quality whiteboards. I thank you and my students thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Jan 11, 2022I can't begin to express the joy that you have brought to our classroom. The headphones have been a huge hit with my students so far. Thanks to your generosity, students have been able to focus on the learning apps that we use daily. They are no longer distracted by what they hear on a classmate's tablet. Students no longer have to share their headphones, which is a huge bonus especially with Covid, the flu, and the common cold. I thank you and my students thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Learning and Thriving Too!
Funded Jan 21, 2022I can't begin to express the joy that you have brought to our classroom. The snacks have been a huge hit with my students so far. Thanks to your generosity, students have been able to enjoy the snacks for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day celebrations. We have students with food allergies, so it was nice to have a variety for all students to enjoy. Not only do they get to enjoy a snack in class, but they also have snacks to take home and enjoy. Funded Apr 28, 2021Thanks for all the generous donations that made our prime real estate project possible. Because of your generosity, students now have storage space for their learning and personal supplies.
As students arrive in the morning, they have a safe place to store their tablets until needed for the day's assignments. The storage space also creates a better organized room. Everything has a home. Students now have a space to store supplies that aren't necessary for tasks at hand which makes it easier to focus.”

Mirrors and Windows 4
Funded Feb 11, 2021Thanks for all the generous donations that made it possible to create a classroom library that represents a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and circumstances. I read aloud a least three texts daily. The books we use in our classroom send a message to students about who they are and how the world sees them. The impact of these books will go far beyond the walls of Carrollton Elementary.
When we can relate to the characters in a book we are more engaged and motivated to read. I aim to give students a picture of what they can become and what they can achieve. When we are exposed to individuals who are different than ourselves we learn to value them. Thanks for giving my students mirrors and windows.”

Just A Minute!
Funded Nov 20, 2020Thanks for all the generous donations that made it possible to create a classroom with valuable learning experiences. The students were so excited when we received the clocks in November and wanted to know when they would get to use them. Although we have daily Calendar Time when we practice telling time, the standard was not officially taught until January.
Our first graders learn to tell time to the hour and half hour and the clocks were an integral part that truly eased the stress that comes with learning to tell time. The students were engaged as they partnered up and practiced telling time. One student would show a time on their clock and the other would have to write the time on their white board, and then they switched roles. Thanks to your contributions each student had a personal clock and were able to make those real world connections.”
