  • Creating The Perfect Math Classroom

    Thank you so much for your donation. With the supplies I received, I was able to build a welcoming math classroom. The pencils were especially important because it is a math classroom! My students were used to writing in pen, so they were shocked when I told them we only use pencil in math. In addition, the manipulatives helped too. My scholars are behind and using the base ten blocks really helped them grasp the concepts that they did not full grasp before. This project was my first and I am so grateful for your assistance. The little things build up and truly help!”

  • Hurricane Harvey Can't Stop Us!

    Thank you so much for your donation! The clothes have been a great help because so many of my students lost their clothes in the hurricane. This is one less thing they have to worry about! When my students received the uniform bottoms they were ecstatic!

    The materials such as anchor chart paper, printer paper, broom, and hand soap all help with the daily hustle and bustle of being in the classroom. This all allows for more collaborative work, more visuals, and more hands on activities.

    The snacks were also a great help. They increased my students' engagement because they were eager for the rewards!”

My fourth grade scholars come from high risk neighborhoods. They come to school to quench their thirst for knowledge. My school has an even split between African American and Latino scholars who have the potential to do great-they just need someone to push them and treat them equally. We are all aware of the educational injustices that are done towards this demographic, so it's best to use our knowledge to fight against this.

About my class

My fourth grade scholars come from high risk neighborhoods. They come to school to quench their thirst for knowledge. My school has an even split between African American and Latino scholars who have the potential to do great-they just need someone to push them and treat them equally. We are all aware of the educational injustices that are done towards this demographic, so it's best to use our knowledge to fight against this.
