  • School is a Ball!

    Funded Jun 22, 2011

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my project. Since we have received the balls and equipment, my students have thoroughly enjoyed participating in P.E. The dodge balls are wonderful! They are soft enough so that a student will not get hurt when hit, and they have a great outer skin that is easy to grip. The softballs are made of a great material that is soft enough for the students to catch without a glove. Now the students beg to play dodge ball and softball for P.E. everyday!

Thank you for providing a wonderful way for my students to stay physically fit. Your gifts will impact students for many years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Time For Learning!

    Funded Mar 3, 2011

I just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your generous donations to our classroom. We have thoroughly enjoyed reading the sample issue of Time Magazine that we have received. We are looking forward to our weekly subscription starting in the fall for more students to enjoy. The students enjoyed reading the articles about the current issues that interest them. The issue that we read promoted a great classroom discussion and helped them to learn about some of the issues kids are facing today.

Time for Kids magazine issues will help my students practice reading nonfiction reading material and will help to increase their reading fluency and comprehension. This project will bring my students current events in a way that they can understand and enjoy. The students will also benefit from meaningful class discussions about important current issues. Time for Kids magazine is such a valuable teaching resource. Students are naturally more interested in current events which helps them get excited about learning.

Without your help we would not have been able to afford this valuable resource. Thank you again for caring about our children and helping to promote great educational opportunities for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Help Us To See!

    Funded Mar 30, 2011

I just want to thank you for the wonderful resources you have given to my class. The microscopes have already provided my students opportunities to explore the amazing world of microorganisms. We have discovered the differences between plant and animal cells and have studied the parts of a microscope. We collected some pond water and the students were able to see all of the different living organisms they had never seen before. It was very exciting!

Our district is currently facing budget cuts. This means there isn't money available to provide these valuable resources in our classrooms. You have made hands-on learning experiences in science possible for my students and many more to come.

Thank you for your dedication to my students. Because of people like you, my students will receive the kind of education they want and deserve. ”

We have discovered the differences between plant and animal cells and have studied the parts of a microscope. We are starting our microorganisms unit this week. With the new microscopes we will be able to conduct our experiments in small groups of four or five students.

Our district is currently facing budget cuts. This means there isn't money available to provide these valuable resources in our classrooms. You have made hands-on learning experiences in science possible for my students and many more to come.

  • Volley for Health!

    Funded Nov 15, 2010

I just want to thank you for your wonderful donation to our project. We have just started our volleyball unit and have been using the balls for a week now. The students absolutely love learning the skills needed to play the game. Next week we will be learning the rules and forming teams.

The skills the students will be learning with the equipment you purchased for us are invaluable. They will be learning important team building skills, specific volleyball skills, and healthy lifestyle habits. Thank you again for giving my students the opportunity to participate in this sport.”

  • Volley for Health!

    Funded Apr 21, 2010

I just wanted to thank you again for your generous support of our project. Children are bombarded with so many distractions that prevent them from being active. I think it is very important that children learn that being physically active is an important part of being healthy.

The volleyballs and net you provided have been a wonderful addition to our P.E. gear. We have had fun learning how to play the game in the last few weeks of school. We are planning on using this gear during the winter for this next school year.

Thank you for your generosity. We would definitely not have been able to have this program without you!”

  • School is a Ball!

    Funded Feb 22, 2010

Thank you so much for helping us get the balls we need for P.E. and recess time. We received the balls last week and have since been using them every day for every recess. We were able to use the balls for P.E. this week which delighted the students because of the new games we were able to play.

The students are genuinely grateful for your donation and take pride and a sense of responsibility for this great resource. They have shown that they appreciate this equipment more because of the sacrifice you made to get this for them.

I can't express to you how much this has helped the educational and recreational experience of my students. Thank you for your generosity and your concern for the education of our children.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Excited About Encyclopedias!

    Funded Oct 21, 2009

Thank you so much for your generous donations to this project. This set of encyclopedias is a great resource in our classroom. They are written especially for children so they are able to read and understand what they have read. We have already used them for research projects and for learning about new topics. The students love to read them during their silent reading time. It has made them excited about learning.

These encyclopedias will enrich the lives of many students. Thank you for helping to make a difference in their lives

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.
