Gamify Our Classroom

The classrooms in my school are mostly windowless cement block walls will harsh overhead fluorescent lighting. Not only is this not a welcoming environment, but it lends itself to aggravating my students with visual problems, prompts migraines if all lights are turned on, and can make the students less focused. Thanks to your donations, I was able to modify the classroom environment so that when the lights are on, they are filtered through covers, and when the lights are off, our room is full of lamps and LED lights.

In our end of the year feedback forms, I asked students what they liked about the room, what they'd like me to definitely keep for next year, and what they'd like to change. Overwhelmingly they mentioned loving the LED lights and wanting more around the room, and loving our light filters. They specifically said that my classroom is a great environment that they feel comfortable in. That is all because of the gifts of the donors.

Additionally, they love every activity which can have them engaging and competing with each other. Our old Eggspert buzzers had broken and the students were thrilled when I showed them the new set, just in time for SOL Review! Thank you all so much for helping my class and my students.”
