I'm excited to share the impact your generous contributions have had on my students and our classroom environment! Thanks to your support, we now have access to essential new resources that are transforming the way we learn.

One standout moment was when my students first saw the new materials. They were thrilled! Their eyes lit up as we unpacked the supplies, and it was incredible to see their excitement. They couldn't wait to dive into our new project, a hands-on STEM activity where they used the materials to build models and test different engineering concepts. The materials allowed them to experiment in ways they hadn't been able to before, and their creativity flourished.

This project brought a new level of engagement, and it was amazing to watch them take ownership of their learning. Some students who had previously struggled with staying focused became more excited and involved, showing a deeper understanding of the content. They eagerly discussed their designs, solved problems together, and celebrated their successes.

As we move forward, the next steps for my students involve applying the skills they've learned to a collaborative group project where they will combine science and art to create a community display. They will be designing their own structures, developing explanations for their designs, and using what they've learned to present their ideas in a creative way. This will encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and communication, skills that will serve them well in the future.

Your donation has made all of this possible, and I can't thank you enough for your support. My students are more motivated and excited to learn, and these resources are helping them achieve more than I could have imagined. We are so grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schwartz

  • Bringing Families Together through Visual Art

    Funded Mar 28, 2015

When my students realized we were having the chance to create mosaic trivets the excitement was top notch. My students previously began to sketch and create ideas for their sculpture mosaic projects. Creating with 3-dimensional art is a rare and extremely enjoyable experience that my students where all grateful for. As a school, each class focused on different cultures and countries that used 3-dimensional art to express their own culture and background. Students them began to express themselves through a similar medium.

My students are using the arts style of sculpture to extend the art learning to a deeper level of creatively. This wonderful contribution to my classroom had given my students the sculptural resource to allow all my students including my special need students to excel in my arts class. Giving my special needs students a chance to empower themselves through arts making gives them the strength to feel confident in art making and creating.

Art offers many different channels to express individuality. With limited materials it is difficult to express that to students. This exposure to sculpture gave my students the chance to create with their hands and to conceptually look at art as a creative tool. My students learned how to build functional art that can serve a purpose on their lives.”
