  • Comfortable and Cozy Flexible Reading Chairs!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project! My students were thrilled to learn that we would be receiving these chairs. These chairs are used daily - each student has a day of the week they get to spend all day listening, reading, or drawing in their green chair! It is a highlight and allows for more space for the remaining students on the rug. Additionally, students feel responsible to retrieve and return the green chair helping build independence (and teamwork if it's a little heavy for that friend)! Thank you for supporting public school classrooms!”

  • Back for Books: Acorn Beginner Graphic Novels!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you SO much for supporting this project! My students have been building their decoding skills throughout the first five months of the school year and these books will be an incredible resource for them! Additionally, these books are a great resource for our third grade reading buddies who visit our classroom once a week and read to us. These books will be used for many school years to come! Thank you for supporting public school classrooms like ours! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

  • Snap-Bots are Best!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this STEM based hands on choice time center. Snap bots have allowed my students to collaborate, be creative, and work together. Additionally this center requires students to communicate, share, and negotiate various pieces to create the snapped robots they imagine. Additionally, this center brought so much excitement and curiosity to my classroom, especially for my students who typically do not gravitate towards STEM based centers to be eager and willing to try something new. Thank you again for supporting public school classrooms like ours - we are extremely grateful for your generosity.”

  • Usborne Beginner Phonics Books!

    Funded Dec 10, 2024

Thank you so much for bringing this fantastic beginner phonics set of books into our classroom! My students have loved the Usborne advent calendar daily stories - teaching us about folktales from around the world! Those short stories have brought laughter, curiosity and excitement and I know my students will be thrilled to add these Usborne phonics readers to our decodable library. My students will love sharing these books with their families and building fluency, confidence and a love of reading. Thank you!!!”

  • Books Books Books: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Lunar New Year!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project!

My students have loved browsing books they have previously read and new to them books based on seasons. We will do a deep dive into Lunar New Year books when January arrives and as we prepare for our San Francisco Chinatown field trip. These books will help inspire curiosity and a love of reading in our kindergarten class.

We are so grateful for your generosity and support of public school classrooms like ours and we cannot wait to utilize these books for years to come!”

  • Deep Diving into the Titanic!

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project - my students have loooooved learning about all things Titanic! They have added new language to their vocabulary as well including ice berg, maiden voyage and S.O.S. This project has helped spark curiosity and excitement about learning and for that we are extremely grateful! We will be sharing our learning and writing with our families very soon as we've become experts on the "Queen of the Ocean" and look forward to sharing those pictures with you soon!”

  • Choice Time Centers!

    Funded Sep 22, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project! My students and I were thrilled to add kinetic sand to our rotation of choice time centers - it has been a big hit! We also use these centers on rainy days for indoor recess. We have also been using our wooden step stool to step up and retrieve any high frequency words we need to spell or use in our writing. This stool will also become super helpful when our daily tens frame count of days of school reaches a level that is too high for a kindergarten friend to reach. We are grateful for your generosity and support of public school classrooms like ours! Thank you again!!”

  • Back for Books: Who Would Win Coyote vs. Dingo

    Funded Oct 8, 2024

Thank you SO much for bringing such an engaging series to my classroom and to the homes of my 22 students! They were thrilled to learn we have a real life *book fairy* and that they got to keep the Who Would Win book Coyote vs. Dingo! For some students, sharing this series with their family might spark engagement in the series.

Your support has helped my kindergarten students develop a curiosity and love of reading and for that I am extremely grateful! Not to mention, who doesn't love a little glitter?!

    Thanks again :)”

  • A Mix of Supplies

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project and helping our start to the school year run smoothly! With your help I was able to give all 22 of my students a classroom a pencil pouch with their own set of twistable Crayola crayons that will last all school year (and into next). We were also able to begin building our fine motor skills from day one by cutting, pasting, glueing and writing on a variety of paper options. Additionally, this project brought us sentence strips for writing and labeling students names and important items in our classroom.

Thanks again for your support of public school classrooms like ours!”
