  • Warm and Inviting Carpets for Learning

    Funded May 24, 2023

Tears were brought to my eyes as I opened my email and read that this project has been funded. We teachers devote such a large portion of our time and energy to our students' education and well-being and unfortunately we often come up against many challenges, whether it be low pay, limited resources or unimaginable situations occurring in the children's homes, that at times feel insurmountable, but we have a never-ending desire to move forward and provide the absolute best to these children who become like our own. To be validated and acknowledged through these donations is incredibly impactful. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Help Our Learning Come Alive in Color!

    Funded Apr 18, 2023

I don't even know where to begin - what incredible news to receive! I am so moved to see this outpouring of generosity. I can't tell you how much this means to me, as I have spent so many hours printing materials with my home printer. What impact this will have on my classroom! Thank you very, very much!”

  • Pre-K Stepping Up Ceremony!

    Funded Apr 18, 2023

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your kindness. I am blown away by your generosity and I'm extremely touched. It truly means a lot to know there are others who also care for my students, who are like my own children. My kiddos are going to be thrilled to have their very own Kindergarten book and some fun toys to kick off their summer! I'm going to fill up a colorful sand pail with your gifts!”

  • Pre-Kindergarten Stepping Up Ceremony

    Funded Jun 17, 2022

It was wonderful to be able to send off my little learners with a bucketful of learning materials to prep them for kindergarten. They were thrilled to receive their gifts at our Stepping Up Ceremony and it meant a lot to be able to provide them such lovely items. I thank you deeply from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and kindness. I was able to pass that on to a special group of children - we were able to give them and their families enriching materials to enhance their summer learning and support them for their future learning.”

  • Imaginative Play!

    Funded Dec 31, 2021

Without a doubt, this beautiful and sturdy play-home and furniture has provided every single student in my class hours of imaginative play time. It is now being used by a "second generation" of students, who love it every bit as much as the first group. For some students, it is the first time playing "house" with figurines. They are able to draw on experiences from their home life. It connects students who may not play together normally. It also promotes language development, as it is a tool that has prompted speech from students who otherwise may not speak in the classroom. It is more useful than you could begin to imagine!”

    With gratitude,

  • Building a Pre-K Classroom!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

It is hard to describe the joy you brought my students and me. We went from an empty, dismal classroom, with strewn together used items that I'd buy second hand - to an enriching, imaginative, interactive second home for my students, which gave them the ability to learn, explore and grow. Developing a classroom from scratch was one of the most challenging parts of my career and I could not have done it without your kindness and generosity. Many of my students have difficult home lives and the main reason I love what I do is that I'm able to provide a safe, fun, and happy place for them to just be kids. It would have been impossible without you. Thank you so much, again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Abrams

These materials will allow my students to discover, connect, and develop new ideas that will support their future education. The exposure to these items is pertinent in order to build the background knowledge that will allow them access to concepts that they may not have otherwise. In Pre-K, students learn through center-based play, in centers such as math/manipulatives, art, science, and reading. Centers are designed in conjunction with monthly thematic units, such as plants, water, light, and transportation. The materials I have chosen will augment my lessons and students' learning.
