Having a large map with each capital city marked will be a huge help to the visual needs of my students. Knowing where each country is located in relation to each other, as well as in relation to the students’ own country of origin makes learning come to life. The scratch-off map will let students mark each country as we learn about it, keeping a visual record of what we’ve learned. Students should be allowed as many different mediums as possible when it comes to absorbing and processing information. These maps will open up visual and tactile learning avenues for the students in my class.
