My school is a Title I school with 51% of our students on free and reduced lunch, that has a mission to increase the quality of student learning, create a sense of community learning, set rigorous goals for student achievement, and to also set high expectations for every student. This year, I currently have fourth and fifth graders on my caseload, all working below their current grade level. These students are hard to motivate because they do tend to struggle more than your average student. These students are more than capable of learning things on grade level, but just need the extra assistance in reaching their own goals made specifically for them.
