  • Mini White Boards to Showcase Bilingual Students Learning

    Funded Feb 1, 2025

    I want to extend my heartfelt thank you for your generous donation of mini white boards for my 2nd grade bilingual classroom. Your support will have such a positive impact in our learning environment, and I am truly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

    These whiteboards will be an incredible tool for both individual and group activities, allowing my students to engage more actively and creatively in lessons. Whether they are practicing new vocabulary, segmenting words, or sharing their thoughts, these boards will open up new opportunities for participation and learning.

  • Stem Toys in a DLE classroom

    Funded Aug 18, 2024

    When the materials first arrived, the students were thrilled! The excitement in their eyes was priceless as they eagerly unpacked the kits and explored what they could create. I have used the STEM toys as a reward for positive behavior. When students fill up our "complementos" they were able to use our STEM toys to create and explore in any way they wanted. These STEM toys have allowed my students to step out of their comfort zones, and explore.

    The next steps for our classroom are to integrate these materials into a lesson about bridges. We'll use the kits to study different bridge designs and then challenge students to construct their own bridges that can hold weight. It's exciting to see how these tools are sparking creativity and critical thinking every day.
