Items for Classroom Success
Funded Jan 7, 2019Thank you for supporting my 2nd grade classroom. My students have benefited so much from the items received in this project. One of the most exciting things for them was a brand new pencil sharpener. Our old one tended to break the lead and eat the pencils. They are beyond excited to have one that sharpens so well! They also have loved being able to earn so many smelly (in a good way!) rewards. This project also brought extra games into the classroom like mancala, dice, and wordical and they are a huge hit! Games do such a good job of promoting social emotional skills for the students so I feel lucky to have them!
My classroom is a better place because of Donors Choose and I just have to say thank you!”

Grow Together with Games!
Funded Dec 8, 2018I wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for helping my students grow through games! With the items from Donors Choose, students have been practicing so many social and academic skills with each other. Game time has become a staple in my room because of your support and generosity and I can't thank you enough!
One of the biggest impacts this project has had is for my EL students. They have been able to practice their social and language skills in a relaxed setting with their peers. They really enjoy building their vocabulary through the structure of a game. It takes the pressure off of only have one correct answer (like on a worksheet) and instead if there is a mistake just a part of the game! They also have loved getting games from different parts of the world to play!
Thank you so much again for helping to make learning fun in my classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Prange
This classroom project was brought to life by CRUNCH and 4 other donors.Wiggle While We Work!
Funded Jul 31, 2016Hello!
I just wanted to say thank you for supporting my kids and classroom! We have now been using the stools for 50 days and they are truly making a difference. I was lucky enough to have the stools ready for the first day of school and students walked in eager to try them out! They were excited about how they moved around and enjoyed taking turns with them.
As the year progressed, I could see the change in the students. Instead of playing around with the stools, they naturally were benefiting from Hokki Stools ability to wiggle, wobble, rock, and perch. They have supported students learning immensely by building stamina for activities (independent reading time is 20 minutes long and is difficult for many students). These stools are easy for students to move around and collaborate with others. The kids have even picked them up to use in other classroom (they are so light!).
Finally, I have noticed that these stools have taught the students responsibility. They know they need to take care of them and make safe choices in order to continue to use the stools. The kids care about not scribbling on them and always tuck them in under the table. Having these stools in my class is just the beginning to a bigger change! I strive to make my classroom a flexible learning environment that adapts to students' needs, and these stools make a big impact!
Thank you again for having such a big heart and helping my kids when your saw my project. I can't thank you enough!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Prange
