• White Boards for Kinder

  We are so thankful for our new white boards and accessories! The students have really enjoyed having new shiny white boards to practice their writing on! The markers have been a great help in replacing the ones in our room that have and are running out of ink. The students have also loved having actual erasers rather than using tissues for cleaning their boards before putting them away!

  My kindergarteners love when they see the brown boxes for mail come into our classroom because that means new exciting things for them to test out! They wanted to test out the white boards the same day!

  We will continue to use the white boards and accessories in our classroom for whole group writing, name practice, and so much more!!!”

• Big Chairs for Big Kids!

  We are loving our new chairs! Our teacher table is much easier to access for the Kindergarten students. The rolling chairs is a favorite place to sit during flexible seating! We are using the chairs for flexible seating, one on one practice with me, a center spot and so much more.

  When the students first saw our new chairs they were so excited! They could not wait to see which table would be the first to get to test them out.

  This project being funded encourages me to continue filling out Donor Choose projects for my Kindergarten kiddos. I think the next project I fill out will be for manipulative and stem toys for our center time!”

• BIG Little Learners!

  We have really enjoyed the new items for our classroom!

  The clipboard holder is absolutely amazing for quick transitions from the tables to the floor. The students are able to quickly grab and put away their clipboard on their own without me standing next to them. This also allowed for a new classroom job! We have a clipboard helper that makes sure when they are put away they are all nice and organized.

  The rolling carts hold our early finisher activities, which we call busy boxes! The kids love to be able to go grab a drawer and go to their table to play. When the work is done they can get their drawer on their own and know exactly how to play and then put their drawer away.

  All of the mesh pouches hold our puzzles! Boxes are sometimes hard for little ones to be able to close gently and correctly. These pouches hold a puzzle and a copy of how the puzzle should look complete! Again making it a simple way for a Kinder Kiddo to open and close on their own.

• Accidents Happen!

  We are loving how the cubbies fit into our classroom! The students are able to keep their personal items in the cubbies in order to get what they need without my help. We even have extra room to store sacks and baggies to put their messy clothes in after they change.

  The students were so excited when I got the new cubbies put together and up in our classroom. I labeled the cubbies with their class number and the kiddos were quick to put their items into their new cubby.

  We have another Donors Choose posted for new sensory tubs! Getting messy in the classroom isn't a scary thought anymore because the kids are able to keep extra clothes in cubbies! We appreciate you and the donation you made to our classroom!”

• Busy Minds and Busy Hands

  Thank you so much for funding our project! We have been enjoying all the new additions to our classroom. All the manipulatives have been so fun for the students. The hamburger stackers are a clear favorite! They also love the light table tray!

  The kiddos always get so excited when a new box is dropped off for us to open! They love when I open the box and show them all of our new items.

  We will continue using these manipulatives during our center rotations for the students to get the math and fine motor skills they need!”

• Helpful Headphones!

  Thank you so much for purchasing the headphones and storage case for our classroom! These headphones have been amazing during technology time. They have allowed for our students to really hear and focus on their specific iPad tasks.

  The students love that they are able to listen to their own learning games and not be distracted with all the other noise. We have taken benchmark learning assessments and I could see a huge difference in frustration levels compared to before headphones and all the noise.

• Lighting Up Kindergarten Part 2

  Thank you so much for purchasing our requested items! We are so thankful for you and the new manipulatives. The students are loving to be able to have their turn at the light table to create and work on our skills.

  When the students saw the big boxes delivered to our classroom there were squeals with excitement. When I opened the box the kids were most excited for the neon colored bugs and gems! We have been able to test out all of the different manipulatives and the peg boards and love them all.

  We will continue to use our light table and manipulatives for free play, STEM, and to help enforce skills we are leaning in Kindergarten! Again thank you so much for purchasing these items for us.”

• Light Up Kindergarten

  Funded Nov 5, 2022

  Our new light table has been an amazing addition to our Kindergarten Classroom! The kids love the soft glow the table puts off. They have already been able to use the light table several ways in just the short time we have had it in the classroom. They have used the table for STEM time using the blocks we ordered with the table. We have also been able to trace turkey's for Thanksgiving and used letter builder blocks to explore.

  The kids were extremely excited when they saw the big boxes being delivered to our classroom. When I opened the boxes and it was just a table they were wondering what was going on. Once I turned on the light the squeals of excitement echoed through the room. They kids love when it is their turn to play!

  We will continue using our light table for a way to the kids to work together in groups working on communication and sharing. We will also use the table as a STEM center for building and exploring!”

• Listening and Learning

  We are loving the headphones in our classroom! The kids love having their own pair of quality headphones. Each kid uses the same pair every day. They are able to use them whenever they feel like they can't focus on their iPad activity because of outside noises.

  In the beginning of the year not all of our students could afford to bring their own pair of headphones from home. They are most excited about having their own pair of headphones! They are working so hard on taking care of them and making sure they are put away correctly everyday. They have even started to hold others accountable for how they store their headphones.

  I have several students that absolutely cannot focus when there are other noises. These headphones have made it so easy for them to be able to complete their tasks because now all they can hear is their own iPad!”
