Organized Supplies!
Funded Apr 22, 2024Thank you so very much for your generosity! We now have a better way to keep our supplies at each table organized. I also am able to keep my computer area organized thanks to the other items that we received!
The colorful caddies are such happy colors and we love that they brighten our classroom. Students are able to keep their pencils, scissors, glue, and whiteboard markers near so that we are able to stay on tasks and quickly transition from one activity to another without getting in and out of our seats.
Thank you again for making a difference in our 2nd grade classroom!”

Restocking Second Grade
Funded Sep 20, 2023Thank you so very much for all of the books and supplies that were donated to our classroom. We use cardstock often in our class for projects and activities. The floor seats that were purchased are used every single day in our room. My students love using our low table and being able to sit in a comfort spot during the school day.
We are also so appreciative of the books that were donated to our classroom. We have used these in our whole group reading lessons and then they are added to our classroom library so that students can enjoy on their own later. All of these basic items may not seem like a big deal to some, but they really make a world of a difference to my students!”

Funded Jun 13, 2023We have greatly enjoyed our flexible seating options that your generous donations provided. When I first showed my students the yoga ball seats, they were so excited! Every morning my students come in and are able to choose their flexible seat for the day. Many of my students prefer the yoga balls and enjoy when it is their turn to have that as their seat for the day.
Being able to move while learning helps many of my students with ADHD and the need to wiggle and move. I love that thanks to donors like you, we are able to have these flexible seats in our classroom.”

Funded Nov 23, 2022My students have LOVED their new treasure box reward options! Every week when they are able to purchase rewards with their PBIS points, many of my students choose to buy treasure box. They have loved the play-dough, sensory tubes, and pop it keychains. The Ring Pops and colorful pencils have also been popular. My students can also earn free building time at the end of the week and have enjoyed building and creating with the brain flakes!
My students were so excited when they first saw the new items in our treasure box and the brain flakes for building. We also have been so thankful to have a new pencil sharpener in our classroom that actually works! Pencils are sharpened quickly which helps us jump back into learning faster!
We are very grateful for your generosity and these seemingly small items that contribute to our classroom and make it a fun and happy place to learn. Thank you for helping to motivate my students to do their very best every single day!”

Funded Sep 2, 2022We are loving all our new resources that we received with this project! We use our whiteboards every single day in whole group and small group lessons. They are most often used during math when we are adding and subtracting with place value. Our privacy folders help us to stay focused during formal assessments and have made a huge difference in minimizing distractions. Our clipboards have allowed my students to work around the classroom during independent time and engage in more partner work. We have also greatly enjoyed reading our new books and using our STEM activities during organized free choice time! All of these items have made such a valuable difference in our classroom engagement and climate and it's all thanks to you!!”

Funded Sep 25, 2019We have loved having building magnets in our classroom! My students have worked together to build creative projects. It has been magical to see students work on a task and come up with different solutions together.
It has also been beneficial to pair up the students strategically, so they can learn to be successful and work with someone new to build an assigned structure. Of course, the students have also enjoyed working with the magnets during math rotations or free time to be creative and design something on their own.
We are so very thankful for receiving this grant to build creativity in our classroom!”

Can You Hear Me Now?
Funded Sep 16, 2019We use wonderful reading program called Lexia in our classroom on a daily basis. This program is designed give each student lessons on what they need on an individual level. Because of this, students are all working on different activities at the same time.
Being able to have more headphones in our classroom, means they are able to focus more on their given task, without being distracted by the sound that other students' activities are making.
Thank you so very much for donating to our classroom. We have been able to work quietly in our classroom with less distractions, now that we have our headphones.”

Wobble Seats for Flexible Seating!
Funded Aug 30, 2019We are so thankful for our wobble seats! The students love having flexible seating in our classroom and these are definitely a student favorite!
It is truly amazing to see that what a difference it makes for some of my students. Being able to wiggle while they are working has helped the students stay more focused and on task. They are having fun while they work, which makes them happier students in the classroom!
We have also loved that the wobble seats are not bulky and slide easily underneath the desks. They are wonderful for the students and practical for me! Thank you once again for your generosity. We could not have these wonderful seats without you!”

Wiggly Seats for Wiggly Bodies!
Funded Feb 4, 2019Thank you so much for providing my students with headphones and squishy seats! We use reading and math programs on the iPads everyday, and having headphones allows my students to stay better focused on what they are working on. They also prevent other students who are not working on the iPads from getting distracted by the noise from the iPad. It seems like a simple thing, but means so much to my students.
The squishy, wiggle seats are wonderful for my wiggly students who work better while moving. I am looking to move towards having more flexible seating in my classroom, and these seats are a great start. The students can use them anywhere they are working if it is helping them focus.
All of my students are loving and enjoying the items that we received. Every student has benefited from having working headphones. My students who struggle to sit during the day, having greatly benefited from using the wiggle seats. We are so grateful for the donation to our classroom and sincerely thank you for your generosity.”

Everyone Can Read: Version 2.0
Funded Mar 13, 2015I do not have words to express how grateful my students and I are for your generous donations. We use our iPads every single day in the classroom. My students use our iPad minis for our reading centers, allowing them to learn at an individualized pace and working on skills that they need specifically to improve their reading.
We have had our awesome new iPads for almost a year, and I have seen them impact two different classes. Everyday, it is still exciting to see my students' faces light up when they know that it is their turn to work on an iPad. They enjoy all the various learning apps that they now have access to. We use a reading program called iStation at our school, and our iPads have helped my students make learning gains every month because we have access to the reading app and extra interventions.
I am also able to customize certain things for my ELL (English Language Learner) students. I am able to upload videos and sound to assist them in learning our sight words in a different way. Each child can be listening and working on a different activity without drawing attention to the fact that they may be struggling and need more practice with something most of the class has already mastered.
Once again, your generous donations have made a true difference in the lives of my students, and I hope that you know how thankful we are every day and what a blessing it has been to have this technology in our classroom!”

Mrs. Ramirez
