  • Students With Autism Need Fuel for Learning!

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom! Thanks to your support, we've been able to provide nutritious snacks to our students with disabilities, and the impact has been truly incredible. With these snacks, our students have more energy and focus throughout the school day, which helps them engage in learning and participate more fully in classroom activities.

Looking ahead, the snacks will continue to support our students as we dive into new lessons and projects. We're planning a hands-on science project where students will work together in small groups, and having these snacks available will help ensure that no one is distracted by hunger and can fully engage in the learning process. Your contribution has directly supported their ability to focus, learn, and thrive.

Once again, thank you for helping make this possible. Your generosity truly makes a difference in our classroom, and we are so grateful for your continued support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Access to Cold Water for Students With Autism!

    Funded Feb 28, 2025

I am excited to share with you how your generous contribution has made a significant impact on our classroom, especially for our students with autism. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide cold water through a new refrigerator—something many of our students need throughout the day to stay hydrated and comfortable.

One specific project that has already benefited from the new fridge was a sensory break activity. Many of our students with autism have unique sensory needs, and staying cool and hydrated is essential to their comfort and focus. When the students had access to cold water during our afternoon sessions, it helped them stay calm and engaged. For example, during a hands-on math lesson, several students mentioned how much better they felt after taking a drink from the fridge, which allowed them to refocus and participate fully in the activity.

Once again, thank you for your generosity. Your donation has truly made a difference, and I can already see the positive effects on our students every day. We're so grateful to have your support as we continue to help our students thrive!”

    Funded Feb 4, 2025

I am excited to share the impact your generous donation has had on our classroom. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide nutritious snacks for our students with special needs, which has been a game-changer for their daily experience at school.

Our students are now more focused, energized, and engaged in their lessons. For instance, during a recent hands-on science project, the students were able to fully participate without the usual hunger-related distractions. The snacks have not only nourished their bodies but have also contributed to a more positive and productive learning environment.”

  • Students With Autism in Need of Basic School Supplies!

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

I am so grateful for your generous support in providing basic school supplies like crayons, markers, and scissors for my classroom. These materials have already had a significant impact on my students' learning and creativity, and I'm excited to share how they've been used in our classroom.

Since receiving the supplies, we've incorporated them into a variety of lessons, but one memorable moment was during a recent art project. Students used the crayons and markers to design their own illustrations of a story we've been reading together. This hands-on activity not only encouraged creativity but also helped students practice fine motor skills as they colored and cut out pieces of their artwork with the new scissors. It was amazing to see how much joy this simple activity brought to the students, many of whom were more engaged than usual because they had the proper tools to express themselves.

Thank you again for your kindness and support. The supplies you provided are making a real difference in my students' daily learning experiences, and we are so grateful!”

  • Helping Children With Autism Thrive Through Play in the Classroom.

    Funded Dec 21, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generous contributions to our project! The materials you provided to help my students play and socialize have already had such a positive impact, and I'm excited to share how they're making a difference in our classroom.

The new toys and materials have been a wonderful addition to our classroom, particularly in supporting my students' social interactions and play skills. For example, we recently used some of the new interactive toys in a group activity where students worked together to build structures with blocks and figures. This activity was designed to promote teamwork, sharing, and turn-taking, and it worked beautifully. One student who typically has trouble engaging with others was able to connect with peers by joining in the building project and contributing ideas. Watching them collaborate and share resources was an amazing moment of growth.

In another activity, we used sensory-friendly toys like squishy balls and fidget spinners to help students regulate their emotions and stay focused during group time. These materials have given my students tools to self-soothe when they feel overwhelmed, which in turn helps them stay calm and better engage in social and learning activities.”

  • Make Learning Fun With Educational Toys for Students With Autism!

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

I am beyond grateful for your generous contributions to our classroom project! The educational toys, especially the word games, have already had a profound impact on my students with autism, and I am excited to share how they've been used in our learning journey.

We've incorporated the word games into both individual and group activities, making learning more interactive and fun. A recent project involved using a word-building game to help students improve their vocabulary and spelling skills. Each student worked with a set of letter tiles to create simple words and then used them in sentences. For one of my students, who struggles with language comprehension, this activity provided a hands-on way to practice new words and reinforce connections between letters and sounds. Additionally, we used the word games to support social communication by encouraging students to play together, take turns, and verbalize their thoughts. These word games have not only supported language development but also helped students develop social skills like cooperation and patience.”

  • No Empty Stomachs in This Class

    Funded Dec 9, 2024

I am so grateful for your generous support, which has made a real difference in the lives of my students. Thanks to your contributions, we now have a steady supply of snacks and breakfast cereal, providing essential nourishment that helps my students start their day off right and stay focused throughout our lessons.

The snacks and cereal have been incorporated into our daily routines, giving my students the fuel they need to stay energized and engaged. A recent classroom moment stands out: we started a morning routine where students can choose a healthy breakfast cereal and enjoy a snack together as we settle in for the day. This simple but important routine has not only helped my students feel cared for but has also created a time for social interaction and communication. For some of my students, this is the first opportunity to practice social skills like asking for what they want, waiting for their turn, or discussing preferences with peers.

Thank you once again for your generosity. Your contributions have helped ensure that my students have what they need to feel supported, focused, and ready to learn. The snacks and cereal have truly made a difference in their day-to-day experiences, and we are all incredibly grateful for your kindness.”

  • Students With Autism Need a Safe Environment!

    Funded Dec 14, 2024

I'm excited to share the incredible impact that your generous support for our classroom project has already had on my students. Thanks to your contributions, we now have the cleaning and safety supplies we need to maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment, and it has truly made a difference.

We've been using the new cleaning supplies to keep our classroom neat and safe, ensuring that students can focus on learning without distractions. One specific moment that stands out is when we implemented a "clean-up time" routine using the new supplies. Students took turns wiping down desks, cleaning up spills, and organizing the classroom using the new sanitizing wipes and sprays. This not only helped keep our space safe and tidy but also allowed students to practice responsibility and teamwork. It was a great way for them to take ownership of their environment and feel empowered in the classroom.

Thank you again for your generosity. The cleaning and safety supplies have not only made our classroom a more organized and safer place but have also provided a wonderful opportunity for students to practice life skills and take responsibility for their environment. We are so grateful for your support!”

  • Board Games for Students With Autism

    Funded Dec 15, 2024

I'm thrilled to share how your generous contributions to our classroom project have already made a profound impact on my students. The new board games you helped provide are helping my students with autism develop essential social, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fun, engaging way.

When my students first saw the board games, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity! They immediately recognized the games as a fun way to engage with one another, and many of them eagerly chose which game they wanted to play. What struck me the most was how naturally the games became a bridge for social interaction. Some students who usually struggle with initiating conversations began chatting with their peers about the rules and strategies of the game, while others took the opportunity to practice patience and frustration tolerance when the game didn't go their way. It was heartwarming to see the games facilitate social growth and connection among my students.

Once again, thank you for making this project a reality. Your support has provided more than just games—it has created opportunities for growth, connection, and meaningful learning in our classroom. My students are thriving because of your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gancio

My class consists of students in wheelchairs who have limited language or are non-verbal. With that said, I look for ways to keep them engaged long enough to explore the topic and hopefully walk away with an understanding of the concept. Our class is a special education classroom in a high need diverse area of New York. My school is part of the District 75 community which services students with severe disabilities and challenges.
