Energetic and Exciting Assessment!
Funded Aug 13, 2019I would like to thank you for taking your time and money to support my students. It's hard to "hook" students these days with all the instantaneous technology we battle against. The different sounding and lighted buzzers that were bought are used to review my students at the end of each unit. The kids also use them at their cooperative learning tables when battling against one another.
The Q-ball is AWESOME! The kids enjoy moving around and love to hear their own voices. I use this sometimes at the beginning of class when student energy seems low and and/or for review games before unit tests.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to excite and motivate my students to want to learn. They always reply that it's fun to review with Ms. Jones. Your donations made this all possible and for that, I am truly grateful.”

The Missing 4 Chromebooks
Funded Mar 25, 2019I am so very happy to DAILY bring technology to my classroom. My students have completed a Vocabulary Choice Project using online educational sites like Infographic, Thinglink, Quizzez and Quizlet. We have finally been able to play fun review games before testing like Kahoot, Quizlet, and Plickers. Reviewing is a lot more fun!
Lastly and really nice is the fact that my students who finish assignments first now have activities that they can access online so that students are engaged and rewarded for their hard work.
Thank you all for making all of the above possible!!”

Chromebook Cart
Funded Dec 2, 2018I am so very happy that after my Donor's Choose Chrome Books were bought that I was able to have my second Donor's Choose project funded for a cart for my Chrome Books. This keeps my Chromebooks safe after I leave school so that I will have them to use in my rooms for years to come.
I feel very lucky that the cart was funded so quickly so that I did not have to take the Chromebooks and have them locked up in an office for safe keeping on a daily basis. I would have gladly done that everyday, but having this cart in my room is so much more convenient.
I have a few more spaces in my cute little cart and am hoping to fill them with four more Chrome Books. I am truly thankful to all to take time to give their time and money to help me in this quest for technology in my classroom.
Sincerely,
Penny Jones”

Bringing Technology to My Classroom!
Funded Nov 27, 2018In the recent months I have used my computers every single day! They have been used in the following ways: I created a vocabulary assignment that allows students to work learn vocabulary by using such website as Quizizz, Thinglink, Quizlet and Infographic. My students LOVED being able to use the computers to create their own vocabulary assignments! In addition, my lower level students (ELL and Special Education) used the already created games to learn their vocabulary. They now want to create their own games. They will have the opportunity to do that with our next unit.
When kids have finished early, the kids go to my webpage and click on my vocabulary page (where I have created a Padlet that holds all of my students online created games) and play a game while others finish. I also have kids that are coming in before or after school to complete assignments that require typing as they do not have computers that are readily available at home.
Next month all students will be using our computers to complete an online webquest. The ways in which we use our gifts are many and daily! This has been a huge blessing to my students and also to me.
Thank you all for your time and money in making technology available to all students!!
Check out the games my student have created : msjonesamericanhistory.weebly.com and click on the Vocabulary Menu Page to check them out.”
